Just a few points - Andy did not pull out of the doubles match. He was never pencilled in to play, made himself avilable and John Lloyd opted for Ross Hutchins instead. He shouldn't have to be playing 3 days in a row anyway - look at Melzer today to see why.
Also nothing has been confirmed about whether Andy will play the next tie. If he doesn't I don't blame him. Even if we get in to the world group we don't get anywhere and inevitably lose the 1st match and end up here again. Without any other decent players it is a lost cause. Jamie Murray is a good doubles player but has no one to partner him. As for singles the situation is diabolical. I am amazed Boggo was wheeled out again. He is mentally weak and a waste of time.
And all this talk of Chris Eaton, have you seen where he is ranked in Britain? After all the hype at Wimbledon (he did 1 round for goodness sake!) he has done nothing further.
Andy should focus on his own career until the LTA can provide him with a team. He doesn't need the hassle and certainly not for the amount of rubbish he has to take from you lot.

I agree with some of the posts about the LTA needing to be more aggressive. They need to be more like the Tennis federations of other top countries in Europe as well as the US. At the moment they still seem to be stuck in a timewarp. The matches should have been played at indoor Arena in Birmingham NOT Wimbledon. Why is it that most British players havr trouble playing on a surface that is not grass? They should be trained to play well on all surfaces not just grass. Another thing - as someone else pointed out, what is going to happen to this £30m that the LTA has received and will it really be invested wisely?? would like to think so but sadly I doubt it. It will just get swallowed up in the black hole of finance that is British Tennis. The LTA should also start being more inclusive and less snobby and elitist. This doesn't have to mean abandoning tradition completely but tennis here needs to get up to speed more.

Murray was the only class player today the rest were average. He also plays exciting tennis. Yes he is boring in press confrences, but the questions the journalists ask are the same every tournament so what do you expect?

Bogdanovic must be replaced with Becker. Bogdanovic isnt the right player to be in Britains team. Becker atleast won a match against Calari. That is why bogdanovic most be replaced.

I don't know why this is a big shock. Team GB are currently a 1 man band. If Murray doesn't play then who wins a match for GB? All other countries in the World Group have 2 players minimum inside the worlds top 50/100... GB has how many? 2 and 1 of them is a certified doubles player!! We deserve to be in the Euro/Africa zone and this is where we belong until we produce new tennis talent.
