Not Bad, Just Lacked that Extra Umph!

Champions League Manchester United

We played some fantastic, sometimes ridiculously good attacking football but we just came short. This is why Berbatov was bought and this is why he'll make us much stronger than last year! Berba is the complete striker - good in the air, holds the ball well and a deadly finisher! I was really looking forward to seeing him play tonight but I hope he's fit for Chelsea.

Gary Neville wasn't half bad but just couldn't get his crosses through! Evans need to work a bit more on his positioning but otherwise he had an OK game.

If we play like this for the rest of the season, we should end up with some trophies in the bag.

We should have had two penalties given today but it wasn't to be. Our best performance of the season so far but nothing to show for it. The result might look bad but no one else in the group won, so in a sense, matchday two will see our group start to take its proper shape me thinks.

Why didn't Vidic play?? Villareal were also quite dangerous on the counter but clearly only one team came to play attacking football.

ROLL ON CHELSEA!

So Pallister reckons United had "a really good start" in the league last year?

Imagine if they relly did, and not just in his faded memory banks?

There is a way to go yet, so no need for panic. Last season the goals wouldnt come, but once the floodgates opened a seem to recall a series of 4-0 results, and a goal difference that no other team came close to.

Were you watching the match?

Who i believe was man of the match, was taken out twice. Both fouls, one definate penalty, one was penalty but could of gave free kick for uncertainty of where the foul was made. either of them given, no! Park got the balland got taken out, your talking rubbush! Even Andy Gray would slap you! he said it was a penalty!

I'm not really in panic nor in any real form of concern. For years Utd have had a parp start, then they turn it around and they excel when most teams in the Prem if not THE WORLD don't... The Christmas period. I can't remember a time United have thrown points away at that point of the year, they get the 3 points when other teams either lose or get just the 1.

For what has to be the 6th or 7th time of saying but "The Premier League is not a sprint, but a marathon". Chelsea and Arsenal are normally Usain Bolt when United tend to play it like Sammy Wanjiru (look him up).

you lots've no choice but to shout and cry for the portugese boy, after all u know that u r pretty much hopeless w/o him. The fact is after consistently talking about his wishes to go to his dream club /real madrid/ all summer, ronaldo has yet to come out and say that he loves playing for united. he'll never say that because he is here against his wishes. he is in forced labour. we let vieira, henry, pires, flamini, hleb, edu, pires...etc to go when they wanted because no one is above the club and we don't keep players against their wishes. manu, ferguson and now their fans have lost the little self-esteem that they had this summer

If the quality of your team was in relation to the fear caused by your comment...

Not scared in the slightest, easy three points.

Luckily for you, Chelsea are actually a very good team.

Fact is Belfastboy08 he did agree with Sepp Blatter's comments about the "modern slavery" issue, in so much as he was a slave to his Man U contract and he also said he wanted to go to Real Madrid in the Summer but it was up to Madrid and Man U to agree a fee. Make no mistake mate, if the Clubs had agreed a fee Ronaldo would be wearing an all white home strip this season. Sounds like you're either a bit naive or you just don't want to see the truth.

As far as this weekend's game goes, I'd prefer you guys to draw but I can see Chelsea winning due to the missing personnel you guys have.
