Interesting that he is so well thought of - I don't think any other club in Europe has a CEO as coveted by the fans.

As Scotlands only represetative in Europes elite competition we can always rely on our friends in the media to try and unsettle us.

Just because i'm paranoid dosen't mean everyones not out to get me

Covered himself in real glory with Graveson's contract.

Lawwell's not soley responsible for the Gravesen contract - WGS played his part in that too, as did O'Neill in Balde's!

He does cary half the responsibility for them though, as he does for Jarosik, Virgo, Juninho etc.
But he's also partly responsible for getting ( and keeping) Boruc, Robson and JVoH.
The jury is still deliberating over the McDonald "golden handcufs" deal, although I think that you should NEVER offer a deal like that to anyone after only one season - even a Larsson!

The guy has done a good job and it would be a set back to lose him. It speaks for itself that arsenal are interested in him.

just look at the transfer fees he managed to haggle for players both in and out...kenny miller, beattie, naka, samaras (everyday passing day it looks like money very well spent!) he's also overseen a period of sustained success while at the same time reducing salaries & debt!

Mr Sporting Integrity himself eh! All joking aside as a Rangers fan I think Lawell has done a good job for Celtic, though not infallible but who is? Wish I could say the same for Martin Bain...
