Pacquiao will move back down (maybe after a quick stop in LWW). There's no way he's going to face the big men of the welter division.

Will everyone stop mentioning Prescott as a contender. Yes, he deserves a chance to go on and prove himself, but strictly speaking, Khan was upset by a nobody, beating Khan does'nt put Prescott up there with World Champion level fighters, it simply shows Khan is nowhere near there himself.

A few exceptions aside, some of the worst posting I've ever seen.

Pacman is clearly one of the best LW's. He's not giving up his WBC title and I believe there's still talk of him fighting Edwin Valero. Breidis Prescott vs. Guzman wold be a mismatch as far as I can see. Would like to see Prescott vs. Katsidis first, would give us an idea of what sort of level Prescott's at.

I think Prescott needs to prove himself more before he starts to get the adulation he is receieving on here from certain folk.Yes he was impressive against Khan but that was one fight against a fighter who to be fair has been troubled by gomes etc. Let this guy have some more fights first so we can get a more rounded and balanced opinion of how good he is..

As much as I agree talking up Breidis Prescott is premature I would also have to ask... What has Joan Guzman done to get the adulation?? Isnt he the same fighter who didnt want Scott Harrison and made every excuse in the book to avoid him!! AND yet again he messes up his big fight with Nate Campbell! Getting an illness 4hours before a fight and not being able to make the weight seem like ways in getting out in my view! I wouldnt have Joan Guzman on that list nor Breidis Prescott!

Da Best I like your views on having Prescott and Guzman removed from the 8 man Lightweight list, but have to say I would love to see who you would have replace them on that list.

Give it another 18 months, & John Murray's name can be added to the list!......

did someone say John Murray don't make me laugh. smiley

Prescott's power cannot be under estimated. As much as Amir and others may say he should have done this, done that or fought the wrong fight. In boxing if you get hit with a good shot you will at least wobble or go down period. What worried me about Khan was how his legs wobbled when hit with just a jab.

Prescott? Can we have some serious contenders here please.

1. Marquez/Pacquiao
3. Campbell
4. Casa
5. Diaz

There's your top 5 - the rest are unproven (Prescott/Guzman & Valero (at the weight!)/ Katsidis has been found out by two top operators/Romanov too inexperienced.

Can't be much more to say other than watch out for Anthony Petersen - he looks great.
