Good victory for Arsenal. Bad luck Blackburn they need players. But very pleased for Ade no matter how many times he was offside he kept going.

But I must say, I am bemused at people and commentators questioning the Arsenal defenders. I don't know much about football :, but I thought you can only judge a team's defence on how many goals they concede and not chances created. Someone mentioned Tony Adams, as much as he was a good defender I still think he would have struggled to get into the legendary back four of :- Lauren,Campbell,Toure and cole who went a whole season with out a loss. Good victory I think we have our momentum out of 1st gear.

walcott is a decent player, very hyped and overrated. van persie is far and away arsenal's best player, besides fabregas, of course. good luck arsenal, make chelsea work, coz united sure aren't!

I am a true gunner, proper local boy. We need to start getting behind Ade, he is our talisman. We also have to be patient, and lets not get carried away. I have to say though, after all the summer talk of crisis, this is a good start.

This could be a long hard season for Paul Ince. Blackburn no longer have the same qualities the had under Hughes. I think they will finish in the bottom half.

Did you see all the empty seats at Blackburn today? is it really worth them continuing on long term when local folk only want rugby league or Manchester Utd? No interest, minimal talent.i think Rovers should pack up and slink off home and at least allow Ince a chance to manage a real football club like Newcastle and not a half hearted attempt at one like Blackburn.

I think Arsenal have the best strike partnership in the premiership. 4 games and 3 goals from both strikers. With those two we can get around 60 goals between them. And it's amazing we have scored 8 goals so far this season and Fabregas hasn't assisted in any one of them. You have to say we are not a one man team.

anyone notice the bench? Song, Gibbs, Ramsey Djorou & Wilshere. Always nice to see youngsters, but when I saw that before the game, I was hoping we wouldn't be relying on subs to change the direction of a game. Luckily rovers were largely useless and the lads were able to come on in comfortable circumstances.

We had a good preseason but the start was slow. The West Brom game was poor, the home leg of the Twente games was very poor also (don't let the 4-0 fool you), poor against Fulham too. We finally clicked at Newcastle and today - although with better finishing from Blackburn this could've been a far closer game.

I've never doubted we had the players or the depth. Last season, until this fixture, we were running away with it, and losing Eduardo, RVP, Rosicky and Diarra in Feb cost us the title IMO. We started the season missing 8 or 9 players - you can't just buy your way out of trouble as those players will all be back, hopefully sooner rather than later.

I checked player values yesterday and the entire 18man squad cost under £50m to assemble (less if you consider we got Gallas for effectively -£5m) - that sort of money is available to pretty much any Prem team, just shows what an outstanding job Wenger and the team are doing.

I'm totally against the idea of selling out to foreign investment - I don't like what has happened to clubs that have and I really don't believe we need to.
