Keith Downing Goes- too soon or too late?League One Cheltenham Town by Reg Tunnel (U8440887) 13 September 2008 Keith Downing has left Cheltenham Town today. Is this too soon or too late? If he hung on then the work he has done could bare fruit. Then again is it too late to save this team from relegation? Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

StelfYYY (U12812068) posted Sep 13, 2008 in my humble opinion he should have never been manager in the first place. he was the perfect person to interact with the players as an assistant manager, but not ready for the step up to the big man at the club. we needed to bring in someone who knew how to bring in influential players, and clearly downing couldnt do that.

tunnelvision (U10898642) posted Sep 14, 2008 Let's not forget he did really well in keeping us up last year. Since then the board have sold our best player. Did they actually make any of this money available for new signings, or was this Downings main failure.
