Yes Keegan's returning from the dead! Unconfirmed reports on SKYSPORTS (its on there site now) say he met Fat man Ashley today!

Come ash, pull your finger out, get keegan back and lets get the wise man out. Bring in Shearer as Director, Ginola as French scout, Ferdinand as U15's shooting coach, Albert as defensive coach, and use Harper as keeping coach....

While your at it, bring terry mac back for a laugh...

i do feel sorry for the toon but i cant help thinking that alot of you are stupid for wanting him back!!
the 2nd time you had him back was a mistake in the first place!
quite frankly i think he is overated as manager!you worship him,but i ask why?what as he ever really done as a manager for you?(second place years ago)the best thing for you boys is to get ashley and wise out and then start fresh and get a manager in there that the club deserves!

It just goes from bad to worse...what a mess! never mind being in freefall, as a club Newcastle seem to be hurtling towards oblivion faster than an out of control rollercoaster. What is going on? and why is the club in such a mess? there doesen't seem to be any sort of structure in place and Ashlet comes across as being clueless - a man without a plan, inshort NO VISION. The whole keegan thing now is a sad joke with the club becoming a national joke. I also get the impression Wise is despised so much because a) he isn't a geordie, and b) he never played for Newcastle. If these are the reasons why he is hated so much then alot of the fans need to grow up and get real quite frankly. The gane now is international - you can't always have a manager who used to play for your club let alone someone from the area. Keegan is not the answer - the guy has WALKED OUT TWICE ALREADY, so who's to say if he is reappointed , he won't walk out again. If this was my club and a manager had walked out twice I would definitely NOT want him back again - regardless of whether he was a Messiah figure. He is also tactically naive and will nevver deliver a trphy to Newcastle. He's had two stints totalling five and half yrs and not managed it yet so they shouldn't hold their breath. The club need total revolution and a manager who has a track record of winning things - and who can deal with the pressure. The way Keegan lost it first time round was unbelievable. Newcastle fans seem to think there is more pressure at their club than any other. This is just rubbish and they're deluding themselves . If you want pressure be manager of Man Utd, Liverpool, Real, Barca, Milan, Chelsea - even City, but not Newcastle. Managing Newcastle shouldn't be as hard as it is. Not saying it would be a doddle just not the same pressure level as the clubs mentioned above. I know I'll get abuse form Newcastle fans for saying the things I have said but I am only echoing what fans of most other clubs ( particularly Prem clubs) from up and down the country think. It's time for Newcatle to see sense stop messing around and start to think with their heads instead of their hearts all the time. This is the only way the club will move forward and win a trophy. It may not be the Newcastle way but since the club haven't won anything for nearly 40 yrs it's the only way.

I can not understand Newcastle fans wanting keegan back. They should be pleased he has gone.
As a Manager he has only won the Championship title with a team relegated from the Premier.
His side lost a 12 point advantage in the Premier title race. His famous i love it tantrum showed the pressure of the top is too much for him.
Worse for me is he walked out on England just before a game.
When the going gets tough, Keegan gets out.

Why can't Newcastle fans see that Keegan is NOT the answer. If they want to go on being hopeless romantics who don't mind conceding 5 goals as long as they score six then they'll never get anywhere. Defences win you titles more so than a prolific sharp shooting striker ever will - but do Newcastle fans and Keegan understand this, NO course they don't because many can't see that having a great defence makes a whole lot of difference to youyr changes of winning silverware. If Newcastle fans disagree with this thinking and just want KK back (complete with his tactical naivety) then deserve what they get and will win diddly squat. I will be cirticised by many of their fans but nealry every club in the country understands that unless you have a decent defence then you haven't got a chance of winning trophies let alone being successful. Seems that the Toon are the only club around who can't grasp this simple fact. THIS IS FOOTBALL. THIS IS WHAT THE GAME IS ALL ABOUT!
