Lee who? McCulloch won't play for Scotland again? Who cares? He must be full of himself to think that anyone cares about him throwing his toys out of the pram. At least have the balls to give the real reason why you don't want to play. One thing I will say is that the timing of his announcement totally lacked class. Pathetic individual, mediocre player. Won't be missed.

He is a VERY AVERAGE player who obviously thinks he is a good one.
The nation probably couldn`t give a xxxx whether he retires or not.
If he hadn`t mentioned it would anyone have noticed anyhow ?
And why is he concentrating playing for Rangers.
Only got domestic competitions to play for this season.....what a numpty

Being asked to represent you country is an honour. One which most of us football fans would dream about as youngsters. There should be no need to pay players to play for Scotland or to coax them. If anyone doesn't want to pull on the jersey or wants to set conditions or pick and choose which matches then they don't deserve a game, no matter how good they might be.

McCulloch could have spoken quitely to SFA and asked not to be considered (although TBH he wasn't being considered anyway) instead he chose to put himself in the spotlight - he deserves all the pelters he is getting. I don't hate him I just find him a joke.

We should get back to basics. It's an honour to play for Scotland if asked. When the manager stops asking, then you've retired.

But being an oldie, I do remember when being asked to play for your country was an honour, not an inconvenience.

Retire from International football, I wish he would retire from club football as well. One goal against Lyon in 18 months.....Time to hang up the boots mate

The daily rag chose to 'release' the story. McCulloch told the SFA last week.

And what does 'quitely' mean?
I think McCulloch is no loss, but I've a helluva lot more respect for him than half of the people on this thread claiming the strength of their loyalty.
When have you ever played for Scotland. What have you done for our country?

You just wouldnt get it as obviously your gers are more important than our great country; these players (and fans) who care more about their club should all be ashamed of themselves.

You wouldnt get Scotland fans terrorising the poor citizens of Manchester, Barcelona etc etc

As a Rangers fan, I was just disappointed he was only retiring from the international scene. I'm not sure what he offers Rangers or Scotland that can't be replaced by someone else. As for the 'nation must hate me' drivel, don't flatter yourself fella; we'll cope. Don't let the door hit you on the backside on the way out!
