Good competition for places, and an experienced head at the highest level. A good addition even if it's not the experienced defender we're still looking for.

Great leader, example and role model to our younger players - and we have a lot of those on our books.

Given his reported charitable works, insisting on being paid a minimal wage while injured, don't believe he's here for a final payday.

Anyone remember Dean Sturridge, barely kicked ball for us and milked the club for a whacking wage when we could least afford it - what a parasite...

Tomassi sounds a cracking player and a decent bloke with integrity - definitely a 'win-win' signing in my book.

And not just Dean Sturridge how about Vinnie Jones...

And as I've stated in another post with him in the defensive midfield the remaining are free to attack with almost impunity..

Ho, now that's going to be worth watching..

These are all excellent points in his favour. It does however still seem like an odd signing considering the abundance of midfield talent already at our disposal...compared to the thinness on the ground of speciality full-backs (i.e. 1!) I look forward to being proved wrong!

Wow. I remember coming on here and suggesting to you lot to sign Campo and getting nothing but abuse saying we wont sign old players, only young talent. Now all of you are pleased!!

Good signing. Like Dowie said for the short term.

What a signing for QPR! This is a real coup and could maybe change their season. He may be old but Tomassi has played at the highest level - Champions League, World Cups. The experience the team will get from that will be unbelivable. The next Ivan Campo - he will light up the Championship.

This guy is an angel, if only every other proffesional in the game had his kindness then the world of football would be a better place & not full of greedy players & agents

since his roma days he takes a wage to live on & that's it

Sounds like a good signing for you lot. He can cover several positions and has top level experience.

Perhaps more important than his playing ability is his reputation. He seems like a nice guy, the sort who would have footballing friends at the highest level. He could be very important when it comes to tempting further talent to the club.

Recieving 'minimum' wage whilst injured, that's just classy. I wish Keiron Dyer and Michael Owen had the same level of integrity.

See you next season in the EPL! ok

Clonmany_Hoop,

That wouldn't happen to be the Clonmany in Inishowen, Co. Donegal would it?

I lived in Carndonagh and Moville for five years.

The Super Hoops are invading Donegal!

It sure is WayOutWest. Think though that the total number of Hoops is THREE!!!
