Lee McCulloch is a disgrace! He's injured so why would Burley want to bring him in! ok am not Burley's biggest fan but it's a joke! Even if he was fit i think he would struggle to get into the team, he is so over-rated! Doesn't do much for the team.
But he is tryin to blame it on Burley and trying to say tht Burley didn't want hin in the team when cleary George said "He was injured in the friendly with Nothern Ireland and had a knock for this game and if he was fit he would be in the squad".
So hang your head McCulloch, you've not even tried to speak to Burley! Its a case of McCulloch chucking his toy out of his big pram!

I agree with gasmeter1690 re: McCulloch. He should be ashamed. He was happy enough being involved when Scotland were getting all the plaudits.

Whatever you think of Burley, it's time these players stiood up and be counted for their country

Find this rather amusing. Part of an overall trend in international football. This kind of thing used to be the privilige of top players who gave their all over an extended period of time and retired from international football as the demands were to great on an aging body along with the rigours of top level club football.
Now we have some mush who is just 30 years old who has a pathetic 15 caps deciding enough is enough. If Scotland actully qualify's this time(long shot I know) you watch McCulloch have a miraculous change of heart. One of the main reasons footballers are keen to play for their country is not necessarily patriotism but the difference being an international makes when it comes to negotiating contracts.
The idea that someone with so little ability, acheived so little in the game and is only 30 years old decides he has had enmough is a laugh and has given me an idea. I reckon I'll retire from inernational football also. A couple of mates who play in the same pub team are thinking of the doing the same as the stress of wondering if Burley is going to phone is getting too much. It's giiving us a sore arse sitting around waiting for the phone to ring.
Poor McCulloch can't be bothered to play for Scotland. Thank god. Poor player who now seems to have a poor attitiude.

McCulloch looked like he might be a decent player for scotland when he was given his first few games and played wide midfield for wigan. Since he signed for Rangers he has proved to be completely useless as a player for both club and country. He scored a grat goal for us against the Ukraine and has since been terrible. He ssems to come on and spend most of the time going for high balls with his elbows raised. Good riddence.

McCulloch retires.... I just about wet my pants reading it. He had one good moment in 15 caps that cracker against the Ukraine, i'd rather see Commons or Maloney the chance now. He was a stop gap nothing more. Infact Commons in less than 90 mins has almost eclipsed mcCullochs goal. That turn in the 2nd half against Macedonia and his cross against NI.

If he has been thinking about it since the Italy game he shouldnt have been so selfish and left it till now to announce it, it lets the manager down at short notice and prevents others from call-ups, he just wanted to create a scene, pathetic
