League One Bristol Rovers

After watching the game on saturday i think we could play all our main strickers up front with lambert in the middle and kuffour and duffy on the wings. i know this means if either were to get injured we would only have hunt and rigg to use but if we were to take out disley out of midfield i think we could use three up front.

Who would be played in midfield though?
You say take Disley out but I feel he would have to be in.
If you only play 3 in midfield then they need to be center midfield players who can provide width. Hughes can't really do this and neither can Pipe.

Lines - Campbell - Disley

Kaffour - Duffy - Lambert

I still personally prefer the 4-4-2 though.

Like I said before, I still prefer 4-4-2 so if you want to stick with those same players then push Lambert up (as he is a striker anyway) and swap Lines and Kaffour. Kaffour can play on the wing as Lines is better in CM and is just as good as Disley.
I can't see how playing an attack minded winger/striker and a striker in CM is going to help us.
I also feel Duffy is too small to be playing up top by himself.
But other than that, yeah I agree with you on that formation winkeye

Actually Lambert is regarded as a attacking midfield player but regardless i would go for this.

Phillips

Antony Elliott Coles

Hughes Lines Lambert Campbell Pipe

Duffy Kuffour

If i stuck to 4-4-2

Phillips

Coles Antony Elliott Jacobson

Lines Lambert Campbell Hughes

Duffy Kuffour

But i still think 3-5-2 would suit us more as cambell and lines will work there hearts out with Lambert being the lynch pin for the mid field.
I would also rotate pipe with lines and jacobson with Hughes in some situations. Disley is to in and out for me and lescot keeps getting dragged infield whatever side he plays.

But lets face it we are all experts smiley

I'd have thought you'd be better off going for 1 up front and 10 at the back?

You never know, you could sneak a draw.....
