The timing of Keegan's resignation..

... Proves that he actually resigned due to knowing he can't cut it anymore and the decision to return to 21st century football was a complete mistake.

All the reasons Keegan has given for walking (the FIFTH walk of his career, I can't think of another manager who's walked more than once) were evident many weeks/months before KK resigned it's obvious to all now that he was waiting for any reason to resign rather than have to attempt to actually manage rather than just buy better players.

KK has been out of the game for years, on what planet would he have been able to handle the recruitment of new pros himself, I doubt he'd even have heard of players like Gutierrez who you are now proclaiming is amazing.

Then KK let it be leaked that he'd been sacked despite the fact he actually walked very manipulative of him.

If you get bought by a billionaire, good luck to you, but for heaven's sake don't expect them to give their hundreds of millions to Keegan. The whole idea's a joke.

If its ashley that appoints the next manager, no matter who it is, I'll still hate him. There is no way back for ashley.

My missus is season ticket holder and has said that as long as Ashley is there then they're not getting a penny of our money.

The timing of Keegan's resignation... Proves that he actually resigned due to knowing he can't cut it anymore

1. Agree with Mirandinha completely. That proves you're wrong.

2. That nobody walks anymore isn't down to someone ability as a manager....just their greediness. If you get the sack you get compensation and that runs to millions in the Premiership. Not many managers will resign and face the fans to explain why.

3. Nobody had really heard of Gutierrez prior to his purchase. That he was scouted is a job usually done by......scouts! It is not the sole result of having Dennis Wise in place.

4. The original rumor that he had been sacked came from a paper not known for its high quality journalism with traditional history of being the clubs mouthpiece but I will admit that it may have come from someone close to Keegan. However, the story kicked off with anouncements of meetings not immediate resignation.

5. Some people got carried away when he bought the club but I think most fans would if a billionaire bought their club.

Keegans resignation is clearly tied to his control on transfer policy which appears to be nil. That Gutierrez, Coliccini & Guthrie look to have been good signings is great but the handling of Owens new contract and Milners transfer went against his wishes.

Keegan has repeatedly said that Owen signing a new contract was top of the list and that he had highlighted 4 or 5 positions he needed players and left that to Wise to arrange.

Both Ashley and Wise have stated publicly that Keegan has the final say on who leaves and joins the club and that they would work to bring in the players he needed.

That patently did not happen during the summer and once the transfer window closed he was in a position where he had to manage a paper thin squad weakened by Milners departure with 2 players he hadn't heard of or seen!

I can only think of one other club where this has happened....Hearts!

We love our club and pay good money to watch our team play. If the manager isn't in charge of who he gets to manage where does that leave him?

I wish we could get a stable owner who supports his manager. It's not too much to ask is it?
