And doesn't Rooney's attitude of being unfazed at not scoring regularly for england just about sum up the dismal attitude of the English players. They just don't give a damn.

What I mean by changes is to turf out the regulars, ie Beckham, Lampard, Rooney etc & bring in some of the younger guys, surely they cant do worse than this lot!

bull.... he has played as a striker through out his career. all of a sudden he stops scoring and he is called something else, reminds me of alan smith, starts out as a striker, ends up as a midfielder after being absolutely unable to score

The main problem with England is that each of the "divas" oops sorry players prefers the champions league to playing for their country.

So for example Rooney..he has just won the Champions League with Man U...so Job done. He did it with better players and held the trophy. England is the B squad of most premiership clubs and consists of players not good enough for Champions League so they are grateful to be playing at all even if its England. Rooney dosn't rank best 11 in Top leagues in Europe, strangley Scholes did! (Ironic he bailed out)

If we look at our 'striker'options, then Owen (who has been missed apparently..why? It's certainly a mystery as he's always injured, and has hamstrings tighter than a yorkshireman oh and dosn't score unless Fabio is watching). Defoe dosn't get his last third postioning right and hasn't a natural instinct for goal (as Rush, Fowler and Shearer). Crouch is a circus act brought on to catch rubberneckers out, why else? He never scores. Heskey (more clubs than the Royal Family) well what was a memory is becoming a nightmare. Anybody have a solution to the eleven vacant places up for grabs?

red as tomatoes (U2118033), smith was played in midfield before he began to stop scoring.

The other players mentioned have no experince of playing togather so will need to be weened in. Ashton has always got injured just before a match for England and hence no chance of him playing.

Lets hope they all retire for England, at least then they can go along the way of Scholes and Carra and play for those who appriciate them. England fans do not deserve success at all.

The fact is that we played poor, if we thier was more flair and we won 2 - 0 nobody would care, but England we boring so thats what makes fans angry
