Next 7 league games

comment on the article

looking at the next seven games, I think they are really crucial to our season.
13 Sep Fulham v Bolton
A point wouldn't be a disgrace there but if we lose it comes at a bad time with the next two games coming up being
20 Sep Bolton v Arsenal
27 Sep Man United v Bolton Wanderers
which we are unlikely to pick up points from, which could well see us on 4 pts from 6 games.
This puts lots of pressure on the next two games, against teams who should be in the final scrap with us.
5 Oct West Ham v Bolton
18 Oct Bolton v Blackburn
These two games should really tell us a lot about where we are going. I'd be more than pleased with 4 points from those, but that would still only be 8pts from 8games. Not great because I'd be really surprised to get anything from
25 Oct Tottenham v Bolton.
So that would be 8pts from 9 games.
28 Oct Bolton v Everton. We all know what a lottery that one always is.

We need at least two wins, home v Blackburn, away to hammers and home to Everton have to be our best opportunities.

Anyway, we need to be in double figures after 10 games, because Nov and Dec aren't looking any easier.

All horrible pressure, will be interesting to see how the manager and new players deal with it.

Good article and I agree with all of your points. Having said that, I would be a bit disappointed if we got 0 points from Arsenal and United. I know it's unrealistic but we always give Arsenal problems and we've played well in our last two games against Man Red.

If we beat Fulham with a good performance, I think our confidence could nab us a draw or even a win against one of the big boys.

West Ham and Blackburn should be wins, but not too confident of 6 points. You're right about them telling us a lot about where we are going.

IDIOT manager

starting a game with 9 defensive players at home against a newly promoted team at home which had failed to get even a point before.

What a clown Megson is. He expects Mccann and JOB to give bite to our attack.

I agree, sheer anti-Meg has got tedious (I know I know I'm the very worst offender).
I actually quite like JO'B, I think we've not seen anything like the best of him. He's been a bit unlucky with injuries. Still one for the future IMO. The alternative future that is, when we see BIG changes, which I can see happening sometime early November.

And that's my firm prediction, not just blind negativity, but a serious, thought out, analytical prediction, looking at all the facts.
Please feel free to remind me of it if I'm right or laugh at me if I'm hopelessly wrong.

"anti megson got tedious"

haha LOL

About time - I like how everyone says I talk rubbish then comes round to my way of thinking eventually again and again.

Well, I must say, I disagree. He has given us nothing so far, apart from some good right-back performances. He's not a mid-fielder and do not like to see him being played there by Megson. I rarely notice him at all during a game and the sooner he's dropped for Riga the better.

uO4, my way of thinking hasn't changed. I've been consistantly anti-Megson from the start. And remain so.
I just think it has got tedious and done to death, I don't think it's wrong. As you will. Again. Guaranteed.

I would say the fixtures have been quite favourable for us this year overall. The next 7 might look a bit dicey, but it does improve.

I know, everyone plays each other twice, but it will help that after January 17th we only have one game against a team from the big 4, and that's in mid April...
