NI suffer Slovakia disappointment

Irish Northern Ireland
comment on the article

Northern Ireland suffered another disappointing start to a qualifying campaign with a 2-1 defeat in Slovakia on Saturday.

What did you think of the Northern Ireland performance? Why do Northern Ireland play so poorly away from home yet are able to beat some of the best sides in Europe at Windsor Park?
Did Nigel Worthington get his team selection right? If not, who would you have chosen and what changes should be made for the home game against the Czech Republic?

Give us your views.

It was definitely a pen. We watched the game in The Crues Club after Coleraine's game down at Seaview and everyone was fuming that the pen wasn't given when it was so blatantly obvious! sadface
If we had of been awarded the pen I would have fancied us to win the game. As it is 3 points are now required from the Czech game, otherwise we have an uphill battle for even 2nd place in the group.

TheBullMcCabe you're like a broken record. Clear off to your own section and quit posting shite on every thread you pillock.

No offence lad, but judging by your spelling and grammar on various threads, as well as your opinions, I don't think you're the fizziest tin in the fridge. I suggest you get back to your colouring book and leave the football discussion to the adults.

I don't want to insult you further incase, as i suspect, you actually have something seriously wrong with you.

And no I don't check your posts for errors, they stare me in the face every time I am unfortunate enough to read something you've spewed.

As for negativity... what do you expect? I'm wanting to discuss my football team with like minded fans yet it's impossible on this site thanks to children like you who insist on stirring. Do you see us trolling the RoI section? No. Do you see us in the Rangers or Celtic section? No. We aren't interested. So give it a rest kid.

I noticed the BBC deleted your comment earlier were you stated that the 2 injured fans "deserved more of a beating". I'd imagine if you keep that sort of talk up you won't be around for much longer.

The north are a poor side really should anyone be suprised with this result? not me anyhow my prediction from the start was was zero points from the first two matches. Realistically tonight a point would be a fantastic result for this team, cheers

Horsebox,

Firstly, there is no such country as "The North". The North of where are you referring to? England? Scotland? Wales? Northern Ireland? Republic Of Ireland?
Our region of the Unied Kingdom is called Northern Ireland, we exist whether you like it or not! doh

Secondly, I'm glad to point out that your prediction of 0 points from our first 2 matches was wrong.

Thirdly, dropping points at home to ANY country in Europe is not seen by the Green And White Army as an excellent result, that is how far we've come in the last 3 or 4 years. If we can beat Spain and England, who have the best 2 squads in Europe, then why should we fear anyone? cool
