Afternoon chaps.

Watford fan here, not on a wind up I swear, was just wondering how Nathan Ellington and Jordan Stewart are doing for you guys?

Are either of them playing on a regular basis?

What is the consensus on them? Good, bad or indifferent?

I think both players suffered at Watford for whatever reason, and I'm interested to know if they are capable of upping their game and improving in the face of a new challenge.

Any thoughts or observations welcome.

Cheers all.

Nowhere near as good as my moves, or as half as handsome. But there are similarities, I'll agree.

The thought of you having to trawl the net for pictures of Brian Dowling is recompense enough ok

Or do you have a folder on your desktop ?

Google Image Bob. Its very useful. And this was one of the first pictures it brought up. I didn't even need to enter my Dowling shrine to get material ok

I'd say your tan is probably better, but Brian's a lot more masculine. No pointing with a pinky and a bottle of Rose for the boy Dowling.

Ellington seems to be given too much work to do. He needs to be push up against the opposition back four to have greatest effect. Its not good Ellington having to come short for the ball, we really need him as last man. Unfortunately because he's been partnered with Hulse thats not possible. He's a powerful lad with a great burst of pace but thats wasted if he's not backing into the defense. Coming short and dropping off isn't his game. Which is why alot of Rams fans are calling for a Villa/Ellington combination.
Won't comment on Stewart because we haven't seen nearly enough to make judgement.

Ellington is very good, he's surprisingly mobile and has a very good first touch. Came off from the bench in the last couple of games due to a hamstring injury, can't understand why you have let him out on loan!

Stewart is a breath of fresh air, only seen him play once in the league and compared to James McEveley he is like Roberto Carlos. Much better option to have.

Ellington has done well for me so far. I think with more time he will score us goals. Score a brillient hat-trick for us in the Cup and with more chances to come his way he will get us goals soon. As for Stewart, well he has come into the side the last couple of games after failing to start the first few and he has looked very good. Came in against Preston in the Cup and had a good game keeping a clean sheet and against Barnsley he also looked good, far better player than Jay McEveley who started the first few games.

So, so far so good for the pair of them. Nothing like the comments we heard before the season started from you guys.

Ellington is ok, Hard working, good feet and always playying ball well, but needs better partner than Hulse,

Stewart, not playyed much, but when plays very quick and skillful on attack, also gets some tackles in, just made few mistakes
