Who's Better Off and Why?

Championship Derby County

It is well-documented that we Rams have been fantastic supporters of this club through some tumultuous times and lately, through a lowest-ever points tally record and still in a record-setting winless streak.

My question to you, dyed in the wool Rams fans, is this:

Which other teams’ supporters do you envy most and why?

It could be a billionaire’s plaything, a club that regularly sweeps trophies into it’s collection or merely a club that is ‘safe’ and consistent.

TO CLARIFY, I INTENDED THE QUESTION TO BE POSED AS "WHICH CLUB'S POSITION AND RECENT HISTORY WOULD YOU PREFER TO HAVE? FROM A FAN'S PERSPECTIVE.. WOULD YOU RATHER BE A STABLE, CUP-RUN KINDA TEAM LIKE VILLA, A CHAMPIONSHIP/PREMIERSHIP YO-YO CLUB, A STABLE CLUB LOWER DOWN THE LEAGUES OR DO YOU PREFER THE ROLLERCOASTER OF DCFC?

Note, if successful, we’ll have a “Who’s worse off than us…” THAT’D take some thinking about! laugh

I have a terrible case of RamsEnvy. After they beat us at Wembley they have gone from strength to strength, whilst we, (WBA), have sold all our best players and only broken our transfer record a paultry 4 times this summer.

Drat.

& yet you are still without a Premiership win & looking the most likely to break Derby's record of only one win in a season

Not bad for a team that's broken it's transfer record 4 timeslaugh

Now you're making me stick up for Derby fansgrr I don't like you!!!!

Celtic & Rangers, because a bad season for them is coming 2nd.

I dont envy Man U supporters because their travelling costs are so high and because they never know who they will be supporting next.

Im envious of Arsenal, well Arsene Wenger anyway. Imagine him as a complete unknown manager but at a club of the size of Norwich or Ipswich...... I'd say Derby but he'd need a bit of money to get started obviously!

I reckon Middlebrough have become the template for all similar sized clubs (us, Forest etc) to aspire to, esp those clubs without recourse to mega-rich owners.

Yes, Steve Gibson is relatively wealthy, but Boro survive by occasionally spending big (Alves, Tuncay), whilst bringing along their own youngsters (Downing, Wheater).

The chairman is always supportive of the manager, and they could argue that they have been the most successful of the three North East clubs winning a trophy and getting to a UEFA final.
