Capirossi and Vermeulen sign new deals

comment on the article

Loris Capirossi and Chris Vermeulen have signed new deals that will see them stay at the Rizla Suzuki MotoGP squad for a further season.

This will be Vermeulen's third season with the Japanese team and there's surely more to come from the Australian in 2009.

Capirossi is chasing his 300th Grand Prix start and could hit the target next season.

What do you make of the team's decision to stick with its driver line-up?

What's happened to Ben Spies? I thought that he was a virtual certainty for a Moto GP ride next season. What would happen if, say, Ben was was to win next weekends Indianapolis race? What would Suzuki do then?

When will the BBC get something right??!!! They state that Vermeulen was “given his first chance to race in 2007” and then they use a quote from him as follows -

"Suzuki was my entry into Grand Prix racing, I have been here for three years and won a GP"

I wonder why there are some unhappy people about the BBC having broadcasting rights. DOH!!! Let’s wait for the inevitable update......
