Why would Moyes leave Everton for NCastle?

Premier League Everton

I'm a Sunderland supporter and I'm not anti-Newcastle but I cannot comprehend why the media believes David Moyes would leave a club like Everton for Newcastle. It beggers believe to be honest.

History shows Everton are a bigger club than Newcastle and they've got a better set up at the minute.

It really "grinds my gears" how the media continually put the Mags in the limelight. Sky Sports yesterday was a joke with the same Keegan story all night! I quite like Keegan but I don't give a monkeys whether Keegan; the Messiah; the King, blah blah blah...has left.

Anyhow I thought the Moyes link was an insult to a great club like Everton. Good luck for the season except when you play Sunderland!

I think the best thing is for Keegan and the Toon Army to sit tight for a few weeks, because it sounds like Ashley is selling his lot.
If the new owners are Arabs they may well invite Keegan back with the investments and backing he should have had in the first place...

DM is going nowhere. If he was going he would have walk during the summer when the funds and players he wanted weren't forthcoming.

If Moyes leaves Everton for Newcastle I'll eat my hat.

The only teams I could see Moyes leaving Everton for are a team in the top 4(although I don't think he'll ever get the offer) or possibly Man City now or Spurs. But I don't see any of those clubs going for Moyes in the near future. I reckon he'll stay at Everton for quite a few years to come before taking the Celtic job.

Even as a red it is obvious that moving from Everton to Newcastle is a step down, particularly when you consider the reason Keegan left. It would take a vast sum for Moyes to even be tempted I would have thought.

However I am enjoying winding up my Newcastle Utd and Evertonian friends at the prospect winkeye

moyes is building a legacy at everton, there is just no way he would be foolish enough to go to the toon merry go round, especially when he just spent 15 million quid on a player, i think everton fans would probably riot if he scuppered off now, but seriously, i think moyes is too smart to go to newcastle, he's inches away from having a really good team at everton, and with 2 or 3 more years, he could have a pretty sick ass squard (a la arteta, cahill, lescott, yobo, baines, osman, pienaar, yakubu, saha, howard, felliani, + 1 or 2 more quality players each year, a hopefully a new stadium as well, heck the future looks positively dazzling from where im sitting...

Why didn't Moyes go to Newcastle once in the 6 times he could have gone there in the last 4 years. He's going to either Celtic or Man Utd. Oh yeah that turned out to be BS as well.

Moyes to eventually go to Celtic?
Odd one that as I was at school with him and he supported Rangers (!) even though he later played for Celtic and other clubs.

Point of order Mr Chairman!

Can we not use the words "Moyes" and "Allardyce" in the same sentence, without the linking phrase "managerially pisses all over that fat useless joke".

Thank you. Continue as you were.

Glasglos - he would only leave Everton for a team capable of winning the European Cup. Or, I should say, a team capable of winning the European Cup AGAIN.

That rules Rangers out I'm afraid.

BTW do you have any Euros you would like to exchange for Sterling ? You'll only get ripped off if you take them back to the Post Office.

CrossTheMersey - your jumping to conclusions.

I support neither Rangers or Celtic.
