after they racked up to much debt and realised that utd are a non-profitable organisation and that city have a MUCH brighter future then utd, plus they will want more money which they can get by investing in city.

leaving utd in so much debt that there will only be one way for utd to go

I thought Arsenal fans were supposed to Bourgeoise, sophisticated types and not babbling prats with a Man Utd-fixated inferiority complex? whistle

Apparently the Glazers have spoken to Robinho about investing in his new club.

After talking at length the Glazers confirmed that Robinho had spoken very highly of Chelsea and were certainly considering a hefty investment.

The Glazers will sell at some point as the club is an investment for them. I don't think they'll sell out for less than £1 billion (making a $200ish million profit). So the next owners, be it 6 months or 6 years, will need to have deep pockets and they will want to see a return on their investment ... which will need success on the pitch and therefore investment in top players. Business as usual for the mighty reds!

the OP makes out that we should be terrified by the prospect of the glazers leaving. someone else would buy the most marketable sporting institution in the world anyway. you never know, it could be someone richer than ADUG

Hopefully the Glazers will put the club up for sale and hopefully someone with very deep pockets will buy.
Estimates of the clubs value reach a billion. Means they could walk away with a very tidy profit (exactly what they wanted).
Just hope they don't think its going to get better and hold on too long.
When they go I also hope they take Gill with them.

why are people on about the glazers going? theyve done a great job while theyve been there, and just let sir alex and david gill get on with it, any we have always had money to buy new players and since theyve been in charge weve won the league 2 years running and the champions league......pretty good me think?!?!?!?
