Even if my mindset was 10 years outdated at least it's not 20.

Vinjay the reason your minset isnt 20 years old, is because you have been supporting Rovers that long, so for you to tell people to stop thinking about the club they love, and start thinking your way is a 'kin pis*take

Whats the difference? Why not just accept the reality as it is now. We have smaller crowds, a smaller fan base and a smaller budget then almost any club in the premier league. We are doing fantastically well to be where we are.

Based on all of these things we have no right to be finishing in the top half of the league season on season. Its a teastement to how well run the clubs is that we contiue to punch aboe our weight. Sadly the fact that we won the premiership 14 years ago means nothing to our performances now, its just a happy memory.

to be fair vinjay does have a point, hes very ambitious about the club and wants rovers to succeed, getting a backer is much harder said than done BUT if we were to get a backer interested in rovers (and as pointed out, every season that goes by this becomes more likely as teams like chelski, city, united, newcastle, etc become pretty much untouchable in buy outs) there are less and less premiership clubs available, not many people will go for the bottom 5 clubs, the top 4, city, spurs, sunderland, newcastle, pompi, hammers, villa already have substantial backing meaning that only everton, rovers, middlesborough are the teams that are viably left) then we will become a good team as we have managed to stay in the top ten without any money and with money it increases our chances of pushing on (won't neccessarily help of course) and if we want to move on as a club the manager and players (as well as the current board) all have to believe that this can happen so there is always some hope of it

"If I see people running this club down or belittle Jack Walker's achivements then I'll be as intolerant as I like".

Who is trying to do that? Jack was a very successful Steel Merchant, had a lovely house in Jersey and loved his family and pets very much.

Do you not also understand that by stating you will be intolerant you are actually stating that you are not an open minded individual capable of debating a point?

Bless your idiocy...

My love for blackburn will never diminish but my love for football and the premier league in particular has hit rock bottom.People claim the PL is the best league in the world! what a load of tosh...what kind of league is it when the clubs the size of everton aston villa and man city now need a BILLIONAIRE just to bridge the gap between them and the top 4 ? what kind of league do we have when we have 7-8 clubs now with the financial ability and/or the will spend £20m on 1 player while the same sum accounts for most the other clubs complete budget ? to me it just shows the massive gulf now in the league , it used to be thay the top 4 was a close shop , but now with city and villa owned by billionaires and the perenial over spending under achieving spurs add into the mix free spending pompey its now the top 8 which is closed shop i feel now it has signalled the death of competiton in england , can any fans outside of the clubs mentioned honestley beleive they have a chance of euro qualifaction? Big clubs have always spent more than little clubs , but has there ever been so much of a gap in spending power? ask yourself this which is the most competitive league in europe? answer the english championship , each season about half the league beleive they have a genuine chance of promotion either automatic or via play-off's , can the PL clubs now say the same? Is it now time that the super wealthy clubs in this country to break away and form the euro super league and leave us to play in a more competitive league

Your right when you sat the championship is a more exciting league than the Prem AKTO.
By march there are still 6 or so clubs vying for a promotion spot in the Championship, In the Prem the top 4 are always usually sorted.
I hate investors purley because they don't give a toss about the clubs they buy. But it could be the only way to survive in the top league in the near future.
