(Someone may have posted this already, so if they have I apolagize.....)

In Europe especially. I am Worried. We can only play Bent and Fraizer up front, what happens if Bent gets injured??? Or if they both get injured?? Dos Santos up front on he's own???

Just wanted some thought on this......

No, neither Pavlyuchenko nor Corluka are eligible to play at any point this season in the UEFA Cup.

This article should clear up any confusion about Pav and Corluka and the UEFA Cup:

OK so here are some nice stats to show that all is not lost on the goalscoring front despite loosing Keane and Berbatov.

Darren Bent - 241 games in his career and 94 goals in those games. So 1 goal in every 2.56 games.

Roman Pavlyuchenko - 247 games in career and 105 goals in those games. So 1 goal in every 2.35 games.

Luka Modric - 184 games in career and 47 goals in those games. So 1 goal in every 3.91 games.

David Bentley - 148 games in career and 19 goals in those games. So 1 goal in every 7.79 games.

Jermaine Jenas - 256 games in career and 32 goals in those games. So 1 goal in every 8.00 games.

Giovanni Dos Santos - 78 games in career and 15 goals in those games. So 1 goal in every 5.2 games.

Vedran Corluka - 150 games in career and 12 goals in those games. So 1 goal in every 12.5 games.

Gareth Bale - 66 games in career and 9 goals in those games. So 1 goal in every 7.33 games.

Ok, so let's say for arguements sake that these players can play in every one of our league games this season, at it stands we have a total of 35 games remaining. So if the above players continue to score goals at their current rates as above, we would score an average of 1.73 goals per game.

Last season Chelsea came second with an average of 1.71 goals per game. Liverpool came 4th with 1.76 goals per game average. Everton 5th with 1.45 goals per game average.

And our high scoring team of last season whose strikers we will miss so much, 1.74 goals per game average.

teddy - Don't worry. I have a bad feeling we may only play 2 games in it sadface

Then we can concentrate on the Carling Cup (unless Toon knock us out of that sadface)

As 'goals' are plural, the correct way to ask your question is: 'Where're our goals gonna come from?'

We'll just have to get by with what we have until January. At that time I think we'll be adding to our strikers.

Anyone for Obafemi Martins?
