Why I love Spurs

Premier League Tottenham Hotspur

I'm not sure if anyone else read the comments Levy made today, but one of the things was that he was also disappointed that we did not secure another striker to help us out until January. He is a fan and a businessman and wants what is best for the club on every front.

But I still dont want Heskey. Personally I am glad that the window shut when it did, so that the board can carefully strategise their next moves before the January transfer window arrives.

I heard that Arshavin had signed to come to spurs at the end of the Russian season, but I'll admit that I am not sure whether that is true anymore, because we would have heard by now.

Never the less, we didn't sign Heskey.

Also, we started last season with 4 great strikers, and that proved too many. It wasn't until Defoe left that Keane and Berbatov hit form. I kinda remember that Bale was our top scorer?

Having a clear definition of the roles of each player creates consistency on the teamsheet and puts paid to any plans for the manager to tinker, and allows the players an opportunity to gel.

As such I'm glad we didn't dign Heskey.

PLEASE REMEMBER that success is defined by the objectives that you set yourself. Do you expect us to beat Manchester United, Chelsea or Liverpool? Do you expect that this time next season we will be in a position to say we are better than Man City?

Truth is that I don't know. What I do know is that the person who runs the club is a Spurs fan and is not an Arab using our club as his 'play thing' and perhaps get bored later. That is what makes Spurs OUR club.

True, players will come and go, but some players will stay. Some players will kiss the badge, and that is how heroes are born. That is the beauty of the wonderful thing we love to call football.

COYS - forever OUR club.

Top comments superspur, totally agree. I'm glad that Spurs didnt panic buy and at least now we have money at our disposal that we can use come the January transfer window if need be or next summer. We need to be patient with this team and give Ramos time to allow this side to gel and I believe if the fans (not so sure about the media unfortunately), if the fans can get behind the team and stick with them through thick or thin over the coming months we'll seriously benefit from that in the long run. I would have loved it had we have signed Veloso but theres still time to do so in the January transfer window if need be, though I think Zokora deserves a change to really cement his place in that defensive midfield role. We wont get top 4 this season, think I can say that without being pessimistic but if we can stick with this team and gradually build (without making the mistakes of the past in terms of transfers) then I see no reason why this side cant start to challenge the top 4 (or 5 now Man City suddently enter the equation) in seasons to come. COYS!!! One other point, I was impressed with Gunter against Chelsea - looks a good player. Only one game but early signs are good.

Good post, lets get behind the team. This is a chance for so called lesser players to step up.
Ramos had a reputation of turning average players into world beaters, here's is his chance to show us what he can do. COYS

Manusa are in loads of debt. We are not. Regardless of how the debt is written of by the owners, one day they will have to sort it out. It wont be today or tommorrow but it will happen. So let them keep spending fortunes on players, in my opinion we mugged them for berbastrop and I honestly believe he will unsettle thesir squad and it will lead to the departure of Ronaldo next summer.

I am glad we dont overspend. The only gripe I have towards Tottenham is that they should maybe bring down their prices for tickets a bit as we dont spend as much as those debt ridden teams above us.

We are the best run club in the league. Take some pride in that. Imagine how profitable we would be if we ever manage to make that champs league spot.

I am gonna get behind my team now. I think those players that remain deserve every decible of voice I have to help spur them on. The cancer in our squad has gone and we got a good deal for it. We will be alright.
