Most Expensive Flop in history of PL

comment on the article

Here is the poll for the most expensive flop in the Premiership since the turn of the millenium.....GunnaHuntYall

5 stars - Andriy Shevchenko (Chelsea) - 30 million
4 stars - Jose Antonio Reyes (Arsenal) - 17 million
3 stars - Michael Owen (Newcastle) - 17 million
2 stars - Darrent Bent (Totteham) - 16 million
1 star - Albert Luque (Newcastle) - 10 million

I had to trim the list down to these five.

Other names from the last eight years, worthy of a place in the poll would be flops such as Wright-phillips, Saha, Babel, Veron, Baros, Nugent, Rebrov, Casiraghi, Kezman and Bellamy.....
Do you think the list will include
1 Robinho
2 Berbatov (as he's joined a first class PL team from an otherwise)
3 Pavlyuchenko
4 Tevez
5 Robbie Keane
6 Voronin (this guy is so bad a flop his easily 4gotten)
7 Nani
8 Anderson
9 Rooney
10 Modric11 Bentley
12 Benni MCarthy

Rooney is crap, he's meant to be a striker, he gets hardly any goals and hardly any assists. Just because he runs all over the place doesn't mean he's good and thats from a spurs fan!

I said Anelka before and i stant by that.

He has been purchased for a total of £86 Million.

Some clubs have paid as little as 8 million, others 22 million. But in total it's 86 million and apart from his spell at City i don't think he's been worth the money any of the clubs have paid for him.

Real Madrid paid 22 million, he scored 2 goals.

He's really showing his true colors at Chelsea after his 15 million latest club !!

Yes Your beloved Fat Wayne is highly over-rated and it is nothing whatsoever to do with being bitter, why is it when anybody says anything about Rooney they are bitter.
He's crap,You paid £27 million pounds for a liverpool cast-off,Thats how he ended up in evertons academy,Their normal standard in their academy is Tony Hibbert and Leon Osman, they are both useless.FFS,Rooney couldnt score against Andorra,Fact Rooney is a fat michael owen wannabe, and never was,and never will be,World class.

You bitter redshy.

Rooney was brilliant last night (probably cos Stevie G wasn't getting in his way due to his lack of positional discipline). I'm an Everton fan and I'll you tell now he's not crap - Gerrard would love to swap medal collections. If he is so scrap why did the 'Kop' waste their time booing a 16 year old kid when he came on as a sub at Anfield in his 1st derby? Sad. It shows how bitter you are when you have to say he's fat.
P.s. If Osman and Hibbert are so useless then why are they at a top 5 club? If it wasn't for the fact you signed Torres last season, we'd have finished 4th and they both be at a top 4 club.

If Liverpool hadnt signed Torres,Everton would have still not finished in the top 4,Secondly If my aunt had balls she would be my uncle, and Thirdly,You couldnt sign torres because you wasted your money on rubbish like Phil Neville and Tim Cahill and James Beattie and that rangers reject Arteta. And that donkey you paid 15 million for is shite.
Ps.
Castillo woah

Utd paid the money for Rooneys future potential the lad has everything that a footballers brain his skill work rate and power are world class but he dosent have a footballing brain maybe he will learn it in time he is still pretty young with plenty of time to improve. Shevva on the other hand cost 30m was old too slow and forgot how to hit the target imho he is by far the biggist flop in football

Phil Neville £3.5m, Tim Cahill £1.8m, Mikel Arteta £2.2m, all pretty cheap and all have proved to be good buys. You are obviously a wum. We have got our money's worth out of all 3 of these.
