Welcome to the Re-opening of the Boleyn Arms XXIII and a West Ham United virtual public house, a West Ham institution!

This is a pleasant hostelry for Hammers/Irons to discuss matters relating to football, West Ham United or anything else that is on-topic.

WUMs are barred from this establishment, although friendly fans of other clubs will be allowed to come in and enjoy the claret and blue atmosphere.

The usual rules have been relaxed in regards to the Tevez affair and discussion of the issue is now permitted in this establishment. Reasonable debate is allowed but taunts or insults in regards the issue will not be tolerated.
It is also permissable to talk about the unjust ruling of Lord Griffiths who is able to say with certainty that ONE player can save a team from relegation, discounting the contribution of the other players in that team. Numpty!

Come in, and enjoy the uniquely Italian flavour to this part of the East End, as we welcome Mr Zola and Mr Clarke to our family(although lasagne is off the menu as are new players unless we shift some 'deadwood'. The new economic reality bites!)

How do you think we will get on at the weekend against Hull?
I think Hull have made a very good start,surprising a lot of people by not being afraid to play in the Premiership. Against Arsenal they may have been lucky, against Mercurial FC they deserved the win. I hope Zola & Clarke are perpared for them ok

I would be happy for a point against Hull

They seem to be on a high at the moment

I think it's going to be tough for a while with the upcoming fixtures

I thought Upson looked a bit out of his depth last night

Didn't disgrace himself though

I agree Woosie I think a draw will be a good result. The up coming fixtures will give us some idea maybe of the strengths and weakness of Zola. It will I think be an interesting time.ok

I didn't see any of last nights game. I think it will take Matty a while to get used to international football which can only be acheived by regular appearances. Being around the England set up even if not actually playing in a match can only be good for him IMO. ok

Still England seem to have made a good start.....lets hope they haven't peaked to early laughlaugh

Looks like we will be in need of a refurb soon.

Maybe some splendid furniture available from some clear outs from the financial institutions.
