so pleased he's finally getting the recognition he deserves, to also come back from an injury like that and be in the england team within a few months of being back is a great achievement, i have admired him since his wigan days, he always gives 110% every match, your lucky to have him, id have him in my team like that!

good luck for the season

Im delighted he is in. He deserves it on club form simple as. Now Capello has done that, why stop there. Get rid of Rooney and Walcott too -Ashton, D.Bent or Agbonlahor should replace them. Definitely get rid Beckham for Wright-Phillips now on form and playing well again. I would rather see Reo-Coker in then Jenas and in defence.. Lescott and Upson have started poorly so Wheater and Sol Campbell in for them. I think Warnock of Blackburn should be in for Bridge as he is playing and playing well and Kirkland should definitely be in the squad if not England number 1

Even as a United fan, Bullard is my fave player in the prem. Every interview I have heard from him he has been unassuming and a really really nice bloke.

I hope he gets a few starts, he deserves it and will put more effort in than fat frank.

Get rid of fatty and put jimmy in. He is all over the pitch and will put 200% in.

My engand team:

1: green
rb:
lb: g. johnson
cb: r. ferdinand (c)
cb: woodgate
rm: bentley
cm: gerrard
cm: bullard
lm:
cf: walcott
cf: rooney

i dont know who to put in the 2 positions missed as i dont think anyone has really earnt their stripes!! not too sure about rooney either!!!

what do you lot think?

Great player and one that actually cares about playing for his country! I'm so sick of these players not showing any passion and Bullard will. My ideal england team would be something like this:

Green
Richards Ferdinand Woodgate Bridge
Bentley Gerrard Bullard Young
Ashton Defoe

As a Fulham fan, i have to say it's about time Jimmy was given his chance.Seeing him play each week makes you realise just how good a player he is.
It seems Capello is a man who doesn't care if the player is from a less glamorous club. If he's good enough he's got a chance, seems to be his philosophy and so it should be.Too many times over the years it seemed to be the case that if you don't play for one of the big four or five clubs then forget it.
Bullard will be a breath of fresh air in the England dressing room as his enthusiasm is infectious and will hopefully rub off on those around him.It wasn't any coincidence that his return to the Fulham team at the back end of last season coincided with our best run of results that consequently saw us avoid the drop.
One other thing, i saw Alan Shearer say that if England get any free kicks around the box, then Jimmy (if he plays) won't get a look in with Beckham and Lampard around. To me that will be a big mistake as Bullard is probably the best free kick taker England have. When was the last time Lampard scored with a 25 yard free kick?,Yet Jimmy must have banged in 2 or 3 from his last half dozen. Give them to Jimmy, thats what i say.

I agree Capello seems to be picking players on merit and not by the size of thier club..........if you know what i mean laugh
