tillsgk1 (U1691712) posted Sep 4, 2008 I was there yesterday, and the gripe I have is that under the grandstand there was no PA system. We must have stood there for 15 minutes before we realised the game had been abandoned.

BucksMan (U12545749) posted Sep 4, 2008 In the context of wet weather, it is always far more likely to rain first in the west (e.g. Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol, Taunton, etc.), as it generally moves eastwards across the country. In this respect, it would be more sensible to schedule matches in Wales at the start of a series, rather that at the conclusion, when the outcome may well depend on the result of the final match... in this case England possibly going second in the ODI ranking!

Oliver Brett - BBC Sport (U1779520) posted Sep 4, 2008 I spent three years in Bristol as a student and a year in Cardiff, and can confirm that both were equally wet, and certainly more so than other parts of the British Isles I have lived in.
