Yeah, he got Town up from the Conference. But we ended the season umpteen points behind the eventual winners, barely in a play-off position. I would hardly go bragging about that!

If he was interested then a certain Mr Peters would have been a far far better choice.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who feels the same way.

'You've not seen nothing like the mighty Quinn'..

Best of luck!

personally i feel jimmy did well at shrewsbury, he gave the fans and the chairman exactly what they wanted, the chairman was not patient enough to let the team settle into the new league, its a big stepping stone. i wish the best to jimmy and im sure with the management skills he has, he will put them to good use.

I dont know why some shrewsbury fans are being so negative about Jimmy because it takes a lot to get a club back up from the conference at the 1st attempt and i feel without him we would still be there!! As i said before he took Shrewsbury as far as he could and now i expect him to keep you up certainly!!

STFC 09..

I'm sorry mate, but when he was down the meadow the football at times was dire. And again, we were fortunate to get out of the Conference.

How can you regard coming 3rd in the league, many points behind the winners. And beating a side on penalties, a side who were better than us on the day, a success (I am of course referring to the Stoke play-off final)?

Jimmy, must have something as he has taken two sides to play-off finals. Sometimes the style of football in try to gain promotion or in a relegation fight isn't the main issue, it's being a manager who can motivate players to get the required results and not to let heads drop when the going gets tough.

Quinn has a never die attitude in his game, which many Bournemouth supporters will know, especially for his 93rd minute equaliser at Middlesbrough in the league cup.

I believe Bournemouth have made the right choice for their manager, but unfortunately Kevin Bond isn't a bad manager. If it wasn't for the financial running of the club and resulting points reduction, would Bond have been sacked? No, without last years points reduction we would have been safe. On this seasons performance without the reduction we would be lower mid-table. So, unfortunately Bond is the scapegoat for others mis-management which needs to be highlighted in his CV.

Alas, Bournemouth must move on, and as Leeds showed last year to push for promotion on a 1 point deduction is possible, but I think the Bournemouth board are looking for the same result this year. I still think though, that some of those clubs on 0,1 or 2 points should feel safe cause 3 teams have been deducted points as they could find themselves in a false sense of security as both Luton and Rotherham are clearing making up the points quickly. Also, I bet Gillingham and Crewe didn't expect the Bournemouth to close the gap after their deduction last year.

JIMMYs TEAM selections are sometimes not very good ,he dont seem 2 see talent when its standing in front of him,at cambridge he signed on mark beesley a great bsl player who is respected by all, sadly jim left him out most weeks including the wembley final, also at wembley he played mark peters (signed for kings lynn after being released by quinn one month later)in place of micheal morrision (who signed for Leicester for a 6 figure sum one month later + has played in all the leicester games)when asked on t.v why cambridge sacked him his reply was "good question"the bad rumers were rife on the websites about quinny but he never answered his critics,it is also rumered a certain player was released from cambridge at the end of 08 with the veiw of signing for seasiders when jim got the job, when this failed 2 happen the player returned 2 cambridge (how many players return 2 clubs 1 month after being released),this was hear say in june + the fact jims got the job now strongly backes the hear say up OR its a strange coincidense. The impression me + my friends got about jim was a, hes a great talker 2 the public + comes over as a fantastic fellow+people will like him,b,theres only one no1 +thats jim himself the club is just a work place, hes one of soccers wanderers with many clubs on his cv.good luck for 08/09.
