Live - Celtic v Rangers

comment on the article

Here we go again! It's the first Old Firm derby of the season and, as ever, it's all set to be a cracker.

Gordon Strachan's Celtic snatched the title from Rangers on the last day of the season after a barnstorming comeback to notch three successive SPL titles.

Celtic also won the last two Old Firm games of last season - can Strachan record a hat-trick of derby triumphs?

Walter Smith has never lost three games in a row to Celtic in his two stints at Ibrox...

Will the notoriously cagey Gers gaffer throw caution to the wind and take the game to Celtic on their home turf?

How will it all pan out this afternoon?

I'll be providing live updates throughout the match, so, wherever you are in the world today, whatever time zone you're in, please send me all your rants and raves as the action unfolds...

As always, you can listen to BBC Radio Scotland's coverage of every game via the BBC Sport website.

So, let the gibbering begin!

To be quite honest i think Harry did us a favour with Mendes, from what i heard Harry, his son and his nephew Frank Lampard are bluenoses

Strachan said he's sort out the problem with the defence two years ago. He still hasn't done it.

As for the Rangers fans who 1) Complain about refs, 2 words : Reverend & McCurry and 2) Go on about Mendes as if he's some deity : He's a fair weather player. Wait till the muddy slide tackles start flying in. Then you'll realise why 'arry let him go. 'arry's no mug.

I felt it was a great performance by Rangers and in particular the midfield. Barry Ferguson will be wondering where he will fit in if the Gers can produce consistent performances like yesterday. I watched the game at home as i am stuck in with a broken foot and i nearly broke the other one celebrating the goals. Well done WS in a stroke of genius with the team selection.

Rangers were outstanding on Sunday in the old firm game. Kenny Miller did the gers proud and proved himself to be the striker that we know he can be and Pedro Mendes lived up to all expectiations. We just need to keep this going until the end of the season. Keep it up

Will the Rangers fans now admit that they know nothing about football and should just stick to their specialist subject of bigotry.

Well done Kenny for standing up to the Rangers bigot's.
