I'm writing this with tears streaming down my face.I watched it at home with my grandma who just couldn't really go with the rest of the family. I am so proud of the effort, commitment & shear tenacity from the whole team. A lot of doubters expected a real hammering given the table positions but I don't think anyone could say that we didn't give them a game.

Well done to Saints & I don't mean that lightly cos they're a class team but I'm just so proud to be FC, now & forever.

MeathHill,
We have the same problem at ANZ stadium. "olympic arena" Homebush.Sydney
A great complex but a lack of atmosphere and outside there is just one bar under a 5 star motel and a beer cost's a bloody fortune. "that's if you can get to the bar". ale

I'm not suggesting the need for people to get sozzled to have a good time, it's just that a lot of people meet at a designated pub, have a couple of ales and move on to the footy.
but not at ANZ it's impossible

RLNUMBER1,
Cheers, Toyota Park is an excellent venue, situated right on the waters edge with a great club with good food.
There isn't what you would call a casino there, but a huge gaming area pokies, roulete machines and the like.
If there is a game on in Sydney at the time of your visit the Sydney Football Stadium is a must, they have some great pubs at the door after you have spent the day either at Darling Harbour, the Rocks or just on the Harbour itself.
But unfortunately unless it's a class game there will only be a handful of spectators and it loses it's atmosphere.
Ive been there many a time and the banter at the pubs before a Eng. Vs OZ test game is just fantastic with you bast--ds always winning the singing contest's either at the pubs or in the stadium.
Skilled Park on the Gold Coast is a must if you venture up there, absolutely beautiful part of the world and a great venue.
Cheers enjoy your trip. ale

cherrywarrior,
You will be pleasantly surprised with price of an ale "with the exchange rate"
* A schooner 15oz. ale in the suburbs @ one and a half pound.
two and a half pound in the city or sight seeing venues.
You will struggle to find a place that sells pints these days, so train yourself before coming to say schooner.

Yay! its gonna be the absolute trip of a lifetime, I cant wait, even though the sound of a 23 hour flight does scare me somewhat, it will be worth it!

i have to applaud our lads smiley
so much effort but stupid errors cost us. also a few of gansons mistakes cost us big time. i.e. the meli full length should not of been 20 metre restart as he knocks it on a yard before the line. anybody else notice that?

Bloody hell,
Mick that is a big statement coming from a Bradford lad.
The biggest threat in Sydney is getting run over by all the Japanese Tourist's down by the harbour.
But if you stick to the bars for a cheap beer you will be fine.
