Timothee Atouba

Premier League Newcastle United
comment on the article

Why the negativity? He wasn't amazing at spurs, but Riera was not fantastic at City yet hes signing for Liverpool. What I mean is players go away and improve. If we do sign him I personally will be happy, after all we need as many people round the squad as possible.

He is abysmal in terms of defending.

He's a fancy dan who tries skills in his own penalty area.

He even stuck his middle finger up to the Hamburg fans last season! laugh

Some of these players are genuinly good players but dispite all the foreign players in the prem is still basically fast paced english football hard to adapt to for some.

I cant remember him to much but I know that he was thought of as a flop at Spurs. Having said that he would obviously be a squad player so I doubt he'd be a bad buy if he's only coming into the team to plug the gaps.

Wouldn't get to excited if he joined but we do need a bigger squad.

Makes me laugh wheb spurs fans come onto newcastle pages and comment! Mite run over to there pages and start commenting on the bad start they have had and that they only have one striker who wants to lay for them and he aint that good either! so this comment to all spurs fans think you comment on you own problems and bad start to the season! oh! and youve got chelsea today! oh dear....

I used to watch him play for FC Basel and most recently Hamburg. He's good at going forward but has no clue of defending. Allways good for a card or sending off.

I think he's more of a showman than a defender. Does overheadkicks in his own box and takes on strikers instead of kicking the ball up the field and stuff like that.

Most of all he's a player who can cause a lot of trouble when he doesn't feel the backing of the fans or manager. (middle finger to the hamburg fans).

Funny to watch as a neutral. But certainly not the kind of player i want to see in a Newcastle shirt.
