KK Top ManPremier League Newcastle United by tinyshome (U12209696) 29 August 2008 Villa fan in peace. As a fanatical Villa supporter I first of all have to say I am delighted in the signing of James Milner, all Villa supporters will recall the impact he made during his spell here and are hopeful that form can be reproduced. However what I would like to comment on the dignity of your manager and respect I have have Kevin Keegan, his preference would obviously have been to of kept Milner but in resigning himself on losing him his focus has on the development of his team. Great to hear him wish Milner all the best, and comment on the Villas behavior in the transfer.NUFC are a great club, great supporters and a have very special manager, all the best for the rest of the season. tinyshome (U12209696) posted Aug 30, 2008 Welsh toon, with the expection of a pre- season game where he initially came in for some abuse albeit by the end of the game he was applauded off by the majority of the villa fans, as moving forward I don't see any issues with the fans continued support.

tinyshome (U12209696) posted Aug 30, 2008 Maybe not a carbon copy of a comparison, as you say a price was agreed. But if Newcastle had put a price of say, 15 million on Milner's head, would Villa have paid it? Don't be stupid! Villa priced Barry out of a dream move to Liverpool as Liverpool know he is not worth around the 18 million mark. That's where respect comes in, NUFC respected Milner's desire to move and agreed a price that they thought was fair. Comment on this article |
