de la hoya v pacquiaoWelter by thehitman679 (U12460220) 28 August 2008 just read there that the de la hoya vs pacquiao fight is on at 147 pounds non title fight on december 6th in las vegas, could turn out to be a very good fight or will de la hoyas height and having boxed at heavier weights than pacquiao be an advantage to him, de la hoya may also not retire after this fight, could turn out to be a very good fight as pacquiao seems really up for it, really interested to see what happens Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

RugbyRugbyRugby (U3125334) posted Aug 31, 2008 This does seem a bit of a ridiculous fight given the weight difference. Manny really can't lose much in this fight and will get a fortune for it so great work by him. Cant see what the attraction is for DLH though other than a payday, if he loses it will dent his legacy as his other losses have been to guys much nearer his natural weight or bigger than him.

ULTIMATELY THIS FIGHT IS ALL ABOUT THE PACMAN END OFF STORY AND WILL HE BE ABLE TO TAKE THE CHALLENGE OF FIGHTING A MUCH NATURALLY BIGGER MAN IN THE FORM OF THE MONEY MAKING CHICKEN THATS DLH.

The payday won't be as big as the mayweather payday and the fight will be a walk over for him. This, IMHO is putting his reputation on the line. Why not fight Pavlik? Or even a unificatin fight with JC at SM?

thekingofcoal (U10148641) posted Sep 3, 2008 I don’t know why everybody is moaning, this will be a great fight and everybody knows that both fighters are class! ODH may have the weight advantage but the Pacman is more youthful and in my opinion the best pound for pound fighter out there. As a boxing fan I’m really looking forward to this one and am wondering how this may affect The Hitman or the retired PBF.

ichi_1 (U2189242) posted Sep 8, 2008 I think if Manny comes through this then PBF may come sniffing again. He will see an opportunity to take out Manny after what will undoubtably be a war an it would be a good time for him to do so. That is the fight i would love to see but im worried Manny will be too shot after too many wars to make a deent fist of it.
