Horse Trainer Mick Channon

comment on the article

It says on the BBC that Horse Trainer Mick Channon is in hospital and his condition is "stable"! Is that some sort of joke?

Seriously though, he's lucky to survive and that his injuries are not all that serious. All the best to the guy for a speedy recovery.

My best wishes go out to Mick Channon and his family, but especially to those who died in the crash.

I can only repeat the sentiments on this thread - glad he appears to be pulling through and condolences to the other fellow's family. Great player, great goal celebration and great punditry - 'get the ball to Lineacre' always raises a smile.

Good luck Mick! I remember your talent, but even more, the fact that you were and are a good bloke with a sense of humour, sth. dying out nowadays among footballers.

Stockport County fan here, my sympathies go out to Mr. Corby's family, terrible tragedy. I hope that Mick Channon makes a speedy recovery, my Dad's a season ticket holder at Man C*ty, and he was shocked to hear of this, he loved Mick as a player at City, and indeed for The Saints & England, and I myself used to look up to players like him when I was a kid, I often emulated his 'one armed windmill' goal celebration in the playground! - get well soon Mick.

Team is not an issue on this one.
I remember Mick as a player for Southampton and I will admit I felt uptight when I heard the news about his plight I wish him well in his rehabilitation as I am sure he will come bouncing back.

But my Sympathies must go to the family of Mr Corby. peacedove
