What a day!Premier League Aston Villa by Mini O'Neill- Martin O'Neill's sidekick (U11273717) 27 August 2008 Where do I start? Barry? Milner? No forget i will start by saying I have actually enjoyed 606 today we are starting to see positive comments and not drivel for critisising O'Neill. The MON I Trust supporters have been proven right and yes he has left it late but we are beginning to build up a squad capable of breaking that top 4 barrier. Milner is English has played for the club before has played with or amongst the current squad we have. He will thrive to want to replace Bentley on Englands right side of midfield. We will see a player come in who can play with both feet who can score goals and has great ability at 22. Our team is still fairly young which will also stand us in good shape for the future. Katulata (U8310534) posted Aug 28, 2008 For all the dissollutioned Villa fans out there, please do not think for once the majority of Reds wanted to see Alonso out and Barry in. He is a sub-standard player made to look good playing in an ordinary team. He would look completely out of depth playing in the LFC midfield, and it was never rafa's intentions on playing him there anyway, as he wanted a left-sided midfielder

Pontygog (U8461240) posted Aug 28, 2008 O god the delussion squad is out. Gareth Barry made certain things clear this summer, firstly he wants to play CL football. Secondly he blames O'Neill for the whole charade, do you really think he's going to sign a new deal for Villa after the way Villa and their fans treated him? If he does it means that either Villa have surpassed expectations or that the CL teams are no longer interested. Let's look at facts he has 2 years left on his contract, Liverpool won't pay the (ridiculious) fee of £18 million and Arsenal won't either, he sticks it out till January and waits to see his options if nothing happens then he can wait to next summer where MON will either have to do business at a reduced price or run the risk of Barry saying I'll sit me contract out or buy my contract out. Furthermore to all the Villa fans who say Liverpool are a Gerrard or Torres injury away from being out of the top 4, I seriously doubt that but if you want to go down that line Villa are a serious injury to Young and your Gabby from a relegation struggle. One good season in 10 years and you think you're a Champions League team Comment on this article |
