James Milner hands in transfer Request

Premier League Newcastle United

comment on the article

Milner has handed in a transfer request despite Keegan's compliments of him. While no club has handed in a bid which meets nefc's valuation of him Aston Villa are expected suitors due to his loan spell there and MON's presence at yesterday's match. What do you think?

The arguments over each other here are extremely weak, as someone pointed out above neither team has done anything of note in the last 20 years, thats almost all of Milners lifetime btw.
Remember when is the lowest form of conversation and it seems to be all that Villa fans can say on this thread. The difference between both clubs these days is such a small margin its absolutely pathetic that both sets of fans have resorted to trying to validate the size of thier clubs based on either trophies which were won 50 years ago or the clubs annual turnover. Its a disgraceful argument from both sets of fans, it really is, it would depress me into the ground if these were the kinds of arguments i would have to stoop to in order to validate why i thought my team was a "big side". If your team isnt producing the goods in modern day football then what bragging rights do either of you actually have?
Do you think Milner cares about these dusty trophies or how much money the shareholders reap every year?
The bottom line is at their best both clubs are a top 7 side on a good season. When threads develop into these kinds of childish arguments it just highlights the mentality of some of the people who post on these forums. On one hand you have a bunch of Villa supporters who are bragging about trophies which were won before they were born (they may aswell have been a different team altogether except from their name from what we see now-a-days of them) and on the other we have Newcastle fans bragging about the amount of money they have pumped into thier club to watch them underperform season after season.
The lot of you need to give yourself a damn good shake.

Can people just shut up about whether newcastle is a big club compared to villa.

I'm a newcastle fan and even I'm sick of hearing it!

It doesn't matter which is bigger -- at both clubs the players are multi-millionaires and the fans are poor.

And that's the same at all clubs.

Which is the biggest is irrelevant.

Yardii boy, you really sound like an old woman. Give it a rest.

And Newcastle arent a top 7 side. Not by a long shot.

Lower half last season and not really improved the squad so I dont see how.
Thats not a dig, just as I see it.

Dont worry though, im not going to lower myself to childish name calling to complete strangers on internet forums for simply stating thier opinions. I like think im a little too grown up for that winkeye

LOL at welsh_toon_boi and any other misguided fools that believe newcastle are bigger than villa.

Would you want to swap trophy cabinets? or managers? or chairmen? or playing squads? I don't think so.

Milner is coming to the villa so the dodgy toon chairman can pay his VAT bill.

I reckon let milner go-but in janurary. That way he'll play his heart out looking for a big club, and it gives us a chance to find a replacement. Hopefully by then we'll be showing our potential, and be able to attract better players who want to be part of something.

well he's gone then, to Villa, according to the main page.

Think will fit Villa perfectly, but leaves Newcastle in a bit of a poor state for the upcoming season.

Just when you thought things were looking up for the toon, this happens! Never mind... Oh and this big club debate is all rubbish, what is the criteria of a big club, there isnt any, nobody cares whos a big club, or who's bigger than who, all childish, defensive clap trap about why your club is bigger and better, support the team you love and let everyone be.

Look I read this article and it makes me laugh - first of all it talks about selling Milner - then goes off on a tangent about the biggest club....I support Leeds....Did since I was a child and supported them through the hooligan years, the years in the old division 2 and then when we will the PRE Premiership then to the Semi Final of the Champs League - Was it a good journey Yes - Did I think Leeds was a Big Club - YES - But that is MY View...All Clubs wether it be Chester to Chelsea are big if you think Big.....The problem with Football clubs these days is the Chairmen...they don't really give a damn about the fans...Leeds got sold down the river, am I bitter - kinda but that how the club was run, Chelsea were in the same boat - Leeds and Chelsea were both about 80-90 Million in debt at the time and Chelsea got an Oil Tycoon and we got a Postal Master. Any how - Can you say all Clubs are Big...Man Utd in Debt...Liverpool in Debt....Arsneal in Debt..

Sorry if I harped on but I guess that how football is, I love it and always will..Yes I support Leeds but I also love watching good football all over the world.
