Who should your club try to sign?

comment on the article

Another day, another £80m Kaka for Chelsea story, this time with the lure of £200,000 a week wages. The devout Christian is said to be "uncomfortable" with party animal Ronaldinho's arrival at the San Siro, opening the door for a move to west London.

Brazil team-mate Robinho looks close to completing a £28.6m move to Stamford Bridge, while Shaun Wright-Phillips looks set to leave the club with former club Manchester City and Everton leading the admirers.

Everton are also chasing Rennes' £10m-rated Cameroon international midfielder Stephane M'Bia, while Aston Villa are stepping up their pursuit of Aston Villa's James Milner.

With transfer deadline day fast approaching, who would you like to see linked with your club? And would Chelsea really stump up £80m for Kaka?

ha. dont heap too much praise on Robinho.
How is he supposed to rival Kuyt? you have now set the benchmark for the EPL standards
------------------
I thought my username tells you that I tend to praise short skilful players
Seriously, if you get the chance to see Robinho play, take it - some of his skill is breathtaking.
------------------------------

I watched him against Atletico live last year and he had a relatively poor game but he still had sublime footwork, defenders automatically panic and make mistakes. if he seriously finishes his end product then Ronaldo will have a damaged ego! I know we have had this conversation!
Messi - Should have seen it last year, there was Robinho with the ball running at Pablo Ibanez, it was a nightmare

I can imagine! I don't think Robinho will ever be a prolific goal scorer, but otherwise he's a serious threat.

RE:Mascherano I saw a lot of the liverpool live games (thanks to streaming not to going to the matches) last season and to be brutally honest I hardly noticed Mascherano at all. I was really surprised when everyone was saying how good he was at the end of the season. Perhaps I need to watch MOTD more for the analysis but just don't remember one performance by him that wasn't eclipsed by 3 or 4 other players in the team-Carragher, Gerrard, Torres and Kuyt being the usual suspects and Reina and Skrtl a little bit less. Perhaps I am missing something or just blind but he still has something to prove to me much like our new signings from over the summer.

Spurs potential business before the close of the window...

Out: Berbatov, ????
In: Pavlyechenko, Arsharvin, Corluka and Veloso

Not a bad bit of trading, potential starting line up...

------------------Gomes-----------------------
Hutton----King/Dawson-----Woodgate--------Bale
-------------Veloso/Jenas---------------------
Bentley------Modric/Jenas-----Dos Santos/Jenas
--------Arscharvin/Dos Santos-----------------
----------------------Pavlyechenko/Bent-------

A lot of good players but will be very curious what system Ramos has in mind and what he's gonna do with a few senior squad men like Jenas and Lennon not to mention talented youngsters like O'Hara, KP Boateng and Tabberat

if shaun-wright-phillips is going for 10million then as a liverpool fan i would love to have him on the right instead of kuyt

we would finally have a wide man who actually stays wide, has tons of pace, and scores a few goals as well, which is everything you want from a winger

kuyt is a failed buy as he was bought to play up front and score loads of goals. the longer he plays as a right midfielder (which he is'nt) the longer we will struggle to stretch teams and break them down.

i get fed up with liverpool fans saying 'yeah but he never stops working for the team.' well so what. all the hard work in the world wont win you a trophy unless you have the ability as well.

so why can't rafa sell kuyt and use the money to fund a bid for swp??? after all we have needed someone like this out wide for the past 10 seasons

Anyone who thinks Robinho isn't a class buy needs to have a reality check. He will add a new dimension to Chelsea, he will thrive under Scolari, and he will certainly liven up the Premiership with his skilfull football and bright character. This is solid proof the Premiership is the best league in the world, taking one of Real Madrid's best players, maybe a sign that the EPL will dominate in European competitions in the long run, rather than just a few seasons. I just hope the deal goes through before the transfer window shuts, otherwise it will be a great shame.

Can't agree with you there that SWP is everything you want from a winger, if you go to see him in a game, although he's quick, he cannot cross or shoot to save his life! This is due to the fact he cannot strike the ball cleanly and maintain balance whilst striking the ball. If you watch him when he hits it, his body shape is all wrong.

He has always had a low goal tally per season at Chelsea too, no matter how many games he is given, what position he plays or how well he is playing.

Ha ha ha ha

If Liverpool think they are going to win the League they will have to play a hell of a lot better than they are at the moment.

Playing extra-time and haven't got a clue
