He is ok. Look at how many goals he has scored for his Club and Country. For Spartak Moscow he scored 2 goals in 5 apperances for the club. For Russia he has scored 9 goals in 21 apperances ........ummmm. I will be black mailed for this but we need another striker that has experience. We missed out on Arshavin and thats a kick in the nuts.

Pavlychenko is a pretty gd buy

however for £14million+ i wudnt say thats good,,

i think tottenham shud have done their research as pogrebnyak the zenit st petersburg forawrd partners pavlychenko upfront in russia however look at the stats

games played goals
probenyak: league30.uefa11</>league12.uefa10
pavylchenko:league30.uefaNA</>league14.uefaNA

PAVLYCHENKO WAS THE HIGHEST GOLA SCORER 2 YEARS IN A ROW IN THE RUSSIAN LEAGUE WITH 18 IN HIS FOIRST AND 14 IN HIS SECOND, HOWEVER HAS NO EXPERIENCE OF EUROPE?

Pavlychenko is very, very similar to Berbatov. Tall and skilful, whilst not being blessed with blistering pace, expect the great tricks and flicks that the bulgarian used to supply, but hopefully for spurs fans with a distinct lack of all the baggadge that also came with the Berbmiester. Not to mention, for 14mil, thats not sort of a bit of a bargain considering how highly thought of and wanted he is all over europe.

Yes hes a great player who can replace some of Berbatov's goals. But Spurs wont break into the top 4 because nobody in their midfield can defend.

Pavlyuchenko will work out to be a good buy. His aerial ability is amazing, we saw that at Euro, and topping the goalscoring in the Russian Premier League is no small feat. I say welcome aboard.

Roma ,as everyone in Russia calls him, is very talented player. he is good in the air and with his both feet... Pogrebnyak on the other hand lost his place in Spartak and couldn't start because of Roma there. I expect him to have a flying start.

I can bet my bottom dollar.... I rally believe that no one forward from English Premier League will score more than... 20 goals in 30 matches in Russian Premier League.
0.5 goals per match it is a rate of best forwards in Russian Premier League. For example, today, after 24 matches (our season usually starts in March) the leader is Vagner Love with 10 goals (info: played few matches for the Team of Brasil, forward of CSKA, the team is on the 2nd place in a table).
