Alright Blades

Apparently we're going to sign Chris Armstrong in the very near future as the Reading Evening Standard reports (reliable source in my opinion) and I was just wondering what you thought of the deal. I was under the impression that he was an important player for you, is he decent?

He's good.

But he's not really important now we have Naysmith.

Gets injured a bit, but always tries his hardest to bounce back, which tells you a lot about him.

Gets forward a lot, and overall a top lad.

Iv met him in meadowhall once, and he gave my baby niece a chocolate bar, lmao

Overall, id like to see what he can do when given the chance

good luck ok

I've just watched a bladesworld interview where blackwell has said armstrong has been sold to reading so I guess now its official. He is a good player but he is out in the cold due to our strength in depth and obviously he is not as good as shorey

Has anyone worked out the net value of our transfer dealings thus far. What happened to the £12m we had in the kitty????

Sad to see Stretch go, just a pity it has to be to Reading. I though that NW would have come in for him.

Always thought Armsstrong would be better as a midfielder or as a wing-back (not that I'd ever want the Blades to play that system.) He's got the ability to get past players and make things happen. Sad to see him go but I suppose it was inevitable.

A proper professional and inspiration to come back from an injury like the one he suffered. would have loved to have kept him but i suppose there is cover down that left side so all the best 'Stretch'!

At least I'll be able to see him sometimes! I think most Blades fans think he's a decent grafter. He hasn't been a regular of late, but I'm disappointed he's gone. He'll do a decent job in the Championship for Reading. Not the best full back you'll see, but is good going forward too. He was available so Coppell took him as Reading are desperate (Hunt isn't a left back!!) and paid a fair price. Good luck to him.

Gotta say goodluck to Stretch, was always a 100% man and was well liked by the fans, decent price for him too, I always had a worry about him getting a recurence of his injury again.
