Well, Man City could buy anyone!...

That a certain Brazilian, named Robinho will be moving from Real Madrid to Stamford Bridge in the next two days. Now whether this is just rumour or actually true I don't know yet...

This is what it says (translated): "According to the reports from the Madrid-based newspaper, Robinho last week rejected club president Ramón Calderón’s latest contract offer, which is believed to be roughly the same amount as what Chelsea were prepared to offer him. This has convinced Calderón to concede that no amount of money will be able to tempt the 24 year old to remain at the Santiago Bernabéu,"

"Despite coach Bernd Schuster’s optimism that the playmaker will stay on with the blancos squad, his exit has been made all the more imminent after events at the weekend,"

Marca state the reasons why as: "Firstly, Robinho was heckled and jeered by a group of fans before the squad left for the game against Valencia. And just before the start of the match, he was whistled at when his name was read out on the stadium’s PA system. The most obvious sign, of course, was his muted celebrations with the rest of the team in the background, away from the spotlight when Madrid eventually beat Los Ché for the Supercopa,"

"The question of how he will leave and for how much is a different matter altogether,"

Hope this makes the situation clearer about the expected transfer of Robinho to the Bridge a bit clearer, although apparently the Madrid fans have booed him prior to the match against Valencia, so if we ever draw Real Madrid in the Champions League group stages...

UPDATE: Peter Kenyon has confirmed that Robinho is very close to signing for us. Probablly in the next 24 hours! - excitement is building, and quickly too!

SWP has left to rejoin his old club Manchester City. Looks like his agent was wrong.

The Chelsea club shop have also been critisised for selling Robinho shirts, although SWP's move opens the door for him to join for around £33 million from Real Madrid.

Although, with Real Madrid's President Ramon Caulderon making some stupid comments, could this stall the move? - watch this space...

As I write this update its now looking a very distinct possibility that Robinho, who is under - contract at the Bernabéu, will be staying put for another season, although, rumours have it - albeit rotting in the reserves.

The telegraph have reported today, that our Robinho move has fallen through & Real Madrid are insisting that he will be: "Staying for the time being," while Blues Coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari say its: "No big deal," if Robinho doesn't make the move to Stamford Bridge.

While in the latest news to come out of Real Madrid, Head Coach, Bernd Schuster, says that he'd: "Very much like to keep Robinho at the Bernabéu for the remainder of his contact," the rest of the press - conference went along the lines of: "Talented player, very skilled..." so it looks like Schuster will be joining forces with Caulderon to try & keep Robinho at Madrid for the remainder of the transfer window.

FINAL UPDATE: Its now the final day of the transfer - window, and unless Real Madrid change their minds, Robinho is going to be staying at the Bernabéu a little longer. Whether we, "Big Phil" & the board (at Chelsea) will still be interested in him in January is another matter...

NO, I LIED: We have until midnight on Monday to sign the 24-year-old Brazilian, who has told a press conference that he is intent on moving to west London. "The situation has not changed, I want to leave Real and play for Chelsea," said the striker. "I am only thinking of Chelsea and want to play there." I don't know if this means that we might get a late, late deal for Robinho but, whatever our move for him, we'd better make it fast. The transfer - window shuts at midnight.

Arsenal play nice football - but where has it got them in the past four seasons? I'd rather win trophies "ugly" than play "sexy" & win nothing!

Arsenal will be good this season, and clearly your a glory supporter. After all wouldn't you rather watcha game of football thats is enjoyable to watch. Real Madrid always have and always will play sexy football, we still win trophies, back to back La Liga titles and beat Valencia with 9 players to win the Spanish Super Cup. IMO i don't like watching boring teams play even if they do win things i.e. Liverpool & Chelsea are the worst. I'd rather watch golf, would probably seem quicker lol.

from madrid with love

yes it was really enjoyable watching real last night actually. not because they played good football but just because you lost.

calderon is making real madrid both a laughing stock and a hated club.

In my opinion Real Madrid would be beaten by any of our top4 clubs if they were to meet in the Champions League. The so-called 'giants' have been made a joke of this summer.

What the bloddy hell does he want to go to man city for. In a few years maybe they can get the 5th spot but just cause they have one good player they are not going to win.

As for real madrid they are hypocrites not selling him to the club he wants go to. I hope they nevr get ronaldo

every club is the same when it comes to transfers.

you have to make your intentions clear, you cant simply wait until the other club goes..."hmnn do you wanna buy our best player", it never happens, the buying club always makes the first moves.

difference with madrid is that they used propaganda, and devious means to lure ronaldo to madrid, that is why ferguson was so angry about the situation.

levy then accused united of doing the same to berbs, which was a compelte rubbish. at the time berbs didnt even want to play for the club at all, was very depressed, and had said publically he wanted to join us.

ronaldo said he "dreamed" of playing for madrid but never stated clearly that he intended to join them this season.

people are very silly.
