Since a large section of 606ers are unhappy with Megson at the moment, partly including myself, who would you have as manager if meggo was to go. Would you have a previous manager back? Bruce Rioch perhaps or we could always give Stig "smash your face in" Tofting his first managerial role since hes Toddys assistant at Randers. Its just a bit of fun but you never know we could be taking this more seriously if things dont work out!

"Gary Speed"

Why? The man has absolutly zilch in managerial experience, he hasnt even had any coaching experience YET

I happen to think Speedo is a fantastic tacitcian and has a fantstic work ethic, he would make a perfect coach. But from what ive seen of him in person and the general auroa he gives, he is not/will not want to be a manager.

Havnt you leart your lesson from Sammy Lee?

As for the general question, i think its quite pointless, we are 2 games into the season, and you are already talking of replacements?

Its time to face the music, barring a shock of results which lead us into a relegation battle Megson is going to be here for the long term. (4/5 years minumum)

Jimbo(4/5 years minimum) he will never be here that long. 6 out of 7 other clubs will vouch for that. Apart from WBA he only did a year at most with the other 6 clubs.

he has never had another steady premiership job though has he.

It is not in bolton's style or interest to keep chopping and changing managers.

Megson will not get a bigger job than this, therefore he will have little reason to move on.

The only way Megson will be leaving is if he is sacked, and unless we start doing terribly i highley doubt he will be sacked.

Well jimbo ... I put a couple of names forward - but instead of asking why I'd said Speed, you have to get on your high horse as usual and try to put another poster down ( you a blood cousin of u04 by any chance? ).

Just to satisfy your ignorance ... I'd be keen on Speed as a future manager ....either in a few years, when he's hopefully got the necessary experience, or as an outsider, if Bolton were relegated. I wouldn't advocate replacing Megson THIS season with Speed.

IMO Megson has a job for life if he makes 4th bottom every season - never mind this season .....

..and if you and u04 want a war of words on here, instead of a debate ( as you both seem intent on trying to put me down ) .. just let me know ... I'm quite capable of handling it ...
