Traore!

Premier League Portsmouth
comment on the article

Hey guys just wondering how you feel about traore joining you on loan!

For any of you guys who dont know about him ill give you a quick insight for you! He's a younger, less experienced version of clichy with ALOT of potential and to be honest i can see him being just like ashley cole and Clichy have turned out!

He's got a hell of alot of pace and he can cross a ball on his day, the only side of his game lacking abit if defensively he still needs to learn abit but its no differant with any young defender!

However he's a player many arsenal fans are exited about coming through the ranks and i hope he does a great job for you!
Pompey are my fav team outside arsenal in this league and i wish you and harry the best of luck for the coming season

As a Reading fan, I'm wondering if this deal will affect our proposed loan of Kieran Gibbs.

Buying all thse players, thought first one would have been a goal keeper who knows what his doing ,James showed how good he is at running to the side line, and leaving an open goal for the czecks last night.

Traore going out to an EPL team on loan has to be for the good, surely, with Silvestre as back up at either left back or centre. Dont know why anyone would object, Arsene has rarely got things wrong with his nurturing of players.

sounds like a winner all around, as a gooner, I hope he gets a some starts. Arsene was hesitant to loan out players this term as a lot of the boys we sent out last yr didn't start enough games, so I don't know if any agreement is in place. The kid is raw, and too lightweight at the mo. but he is a good decision maker and will fly up and down all day with good end product.

Truly a great bit of business by Old 'arry AGAIN!!. Good for the lad, his experience etc ( at an EPL club btw ) can only come back to us Gooners stronger. I feel i might have to re - iterate Arrys point at the weekend. My missus could be Arry's #2 if Sandra could manage the 2 "Sell Out" clubs with a multi million budget. This is real wheeling and dealing, well done Arry + well done Traore for agreeing to do it.
I think we forget tho as Gooners how much wheeling and dealing Arsene does, a £15m+ signing i do not remember, and we're gonna be challenging, no bones about that. Not FACT, but we will!!
A happy Gooner.

==================

You actually need to thank Tony Adams and his links with Arsenal for this loan ..

Old 'arry big mouth was busy trying to point out his mother can do a better job than Wenger and Fergie in running a big 4 club .. and then got later engaged trying to teach Capello how to play his England ...

Old 'arry is as useless as a odd-shaped pear ..

Tony Adam's connection got you Diarra and now Traore from Arsenal ... Old 'array could only manage a talentless Ben Sahar who is only at chelsea for the sake of his nationality & Roman backing.

While i agree that it probably was Tony Adams Arsenal connections that formed this loan agreement, i think you are a bit harsh on the ability of Harry. If you look at some of the signings that Redknapp has made over the last 3 seasons, he has done some wonders in the market, Kanu, Herman, Niko to name a few.

Rubbish! What is there to say Adams has such strong connections to be able to negotiate players coming to Pompey?? As a former player? Arsene based his decision to release Traore on loan to Portsmouth because of his former captain? Perhaps it was Brian Kidd to managed to push Silvestre towards The Emirates, then?

To the Reading fan - Gibbs was never going to make reserve LB for the first team so sure that deal won't be affected.

I think this is a bit of a masterstroke yet again to be honest. I'm sure Harry would've been far happier to have signed Silvestre for peanuts!!

Traore isn't good enough at the mo. His decision making is lacking and he gets carried away, tries to be too clever etc Play him in the CC and he'll get you to the final (he's played there since he was about 15) but we got hammered against Utd and Spurs last season when him and Hoyte were in defence - not just their faults but teams aren't free to attack us when we have the likes of Sagna and Clichy playing who can counter at break neck speed.

So, a good signing for Pompey, and a good deal for him to get lots of playing time. We now have very good LB cover that we can rely on in the big matches at bargain price. And next season we will have a new Cole/Clichy in the making.
