Percy and Simpson win gold

Percy and Simpson

There was more glory for Britain's Olympians and sailing team this morning as Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson secured another gold.

The pair came in fifth in the medal race, but with rivals Sweden finishing behind them, it was enough to ensure that Britannia continues to rule the waves at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Centre.

Percy and Simpson's victory was Team GB's fourth gold medal of the sailing competition, making them the top country in the regatta.

It is the squad's sixth medal overall, taking them past the five they won in Sydney and Athens.

Give your reactions to the whole regatta and Percy and Simpson's gold.

Congratulations to GB team! It is very hopeful for GB to win more than 25 gold medals in 2012 London Olympic Games.

Fantastic Win. Shame we missed the vital moments of race the by having to go to Ron Walker sitting in a rib spouting rubbish.

Thanks, jollyTopper, I was going to make the same point. Two people sitting in a boat telling us what was happening at the first buoy rather than the cameras concentrating on the sailors!! And as if to emphasize their stupidity they did again a few minutes later!

However, well done, great victory!

another fantastic result for GB sailing - but why did the TV coverage switch to Robertson and Walker in the Rib twice in the race - in particular as the GB boat rounded the windward mark for the first time? The BBC sailing reports have been great but can't you keep the talking heads invisible next time and let us see the whole race?

I have to agree the cuts to Ron and Shirley at critical times was very bad, also there was a great shot at the medal ceremony where Ian and Bart placed their Gold medals over Coach and mentor the supersonic Sid David Howlett; please BBC show this again as David in China missed it obviously and many people who know how hard he worked and the enormous input he gave would like to see it again, many thanks Richard
