from a gooners p.o.v... a great move. With senderos on his way out we need to strengthen the back. Silvestre can play at lb or cb, making him perfect cover for both positions. TBH i can see him making 20+ starts. He'll bring some well needed experience to a youthful side. Once again, top move gaffer!

p.s dont be shocked to see Alonso wearing north london red within the next 10 days.

Mr captainferrari.

Would you like to argue how Nasri is the best premier league signing? I've a few alternatives I'd like to argue against him with.

And as for the greedy prawn snadwich brigade suggesting he stay for his testimonial, do you think he'd have given the proceeds to them if he'd stayed? I doubt it, maybe those good old prawn sandwich eaters thought he should stay because they thought he deserved a testimonial for his efforts over nearly ten years. Just a thought. But those eaters of prawn sandwiches are well know for their greed so I'm probably wrong.

I think Silvestre's experience will certainly help the Gooners. He's got more premier league winners medals than the rest of the Arsenal squad combined.

Im a devils fan but i have to say this is the signing Arsenal need if they want a title claim. Silvestre will play for them because he's French (the only instant 1st team requirement for Wenger). Shame he's gone from us but with Neville back alongside Vidic, Evra and Ferdinand we've got more than adequate cover.

Man U reject and we are supposed to be happy? Er, don"t think so. This is a crap signing....ARsenal won"t make the top four this season. We could just about do without Henry (but still won nothing) but we don"t stand a chance without Hleb! He was our best player last season. WEnger has lost the plot. I have been hearing for about 5 years how Wenger is building a young squad, etc. but nothing seems to have changed if you ask me. This is not being fickle / it is a fact.

All Wenger is doing now is killing his legacy

Either the board or Wenger needs to go, we wont win anything whilst the club is run on a shoestring and is being used as a gloryfied youth development project. Players who leave are not replaced with players of the same standard, that is if there replaced at all
