Well put Andie! Scrumdiver, if Cas aren't interested you may want to pop over to the KC Stadium in Hull, as well! They might benefit from your obvious training expertise! Richard Agar could likely use with someone like you before the Black & Whites meet Saints at Wembley next week for the RL Challenge Cup Final! It sounds as though your skills may make all the difference to them. Ha! Ha!online2long

I tread that AF was replaced by his son, Owen, when he was subbed.

Owen is highly regarded in League circles around Wigan. Does anybody know how he played?

Farrell - a good physical presence who has been so unlucky with injuries since he crossed codes.
A good player for Saracens although unfortunatly his England carear looks to be over - age has played its part and he is a rugby league legend with wigan warriors;
will stay at sarries 4 the rest of his carear until he retires - has served them well when he has walked onto the field fully fit.

one of those who has adapted well like vainakolo and better than henry paul but not as gud as jason robinson.

i;m sure saracens have adequate cover and he will be eager to return asap

Don't take the RL comment too hard Northern Boys. I was only pointing out that the basics are easy to understand, unlike union.

I have taught peole to play the game in an afternoon. The best I can do with Union is to teach them touch rugby. That is very like league.
A sort of soft version of the reall thing!

Andie: guess I can see what you mean about League being difficult to get used to coming back from union.

It is a different sort of fitness for starters and also a bit more relentless.

Sarries won't miss him much. On the field he has been a competent Union player, nothing more. He can still be a leader and motivator from the clubhouse. He was a very good League player, but that is quite a while ago now - basically he had too many miles on the clock when he came to Union.

Comparing Union to League has been covered on these threads many times. IMO Union is the more difficult technically because of lineouts, scrums, rucks, mauls,..etc., but from the few League games I played I'd say it is a tougher game on the body - lots of big tackles and impacts.

Sarries would be damaged more by the loss of his son Owen.

While an injury isn't the way i'd wish Farrel to give way for Powell, it will give Powell more playing time and a chance to develop even further.

Sarries won't miss him at all - Farrell is a dinosaur, too one-dimensional for the Guinness Premiership & his never-ending ineffectual performance on the pitch proves that. They should give the younger blood a chance.

I have seen Farrell play in many Sarries matches, and he is a far more influential player than the dismissive remarks from casual observers would imply. His skills and leadership was instrumental in getting Sarries into first seed position in the HC quarter finales.

That said, Sarries have Powell, who completely outclassed 'the orange one' when they met in the HC Ospreys match. Powell is a class player, and it unfathomable to most Sarries supporters why he has been ignored by the England selectors.

In addition, Sarries have recently signed twenty two year old Barritt from the Sharks - a player who has had reviews in South Africa similar to those received by Cipriani over here.

So, given Powell is currently of no interest to the England management and has no AI involvement, and Barritt will be available from November, Sarries will be just fine.

Owen was fairly average, he was only on for 5 minutes though. He didnt shy away from any tackles, and he looks to have filled out a lot in the last year. He's a cocky fellow though, just like his father.
