Great comeback by India

One-day internationals India

comment on the article

Once again inconsistent India came to the fore. Humiliated by Lanka in the last game, the pace-bowlers led by Zaheer bundled out Lankans for 142. Lanka were 45-6 at one stage and poor captaincy by Dhoni helped Lankans to another 100 odd runs.

Lanka hit back and India were 17-2 at lunch. An interesting match on hands. Expect Mendis immeediately after lunch as Yuvraj is on strike

We are experts at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in tight games. So all things considered its a good win.
Unfortunately I don't see this perfo being repeated in this series again. The batsmen look incapable of chasing/posting anything over 175 and SL are not going to be out for such a low score again.

I like your style 80mph

Fear the worst with eyes tightly shut waiting for the calamity to strike, and then slowly open one eye to see an India win! smiley

Reverse psychology?

India should progress to the usual 300 totals no worries

m-p,
In my experience I've found this approach to work best with Indian cricket. The moment you build them up, they come crashing down. So its best to expect very little and be happy when they deliver.
It won't work as a betting strategy of course but I am not into sports betting. smiley

Being a former Physics student I know exactly what you mean!

The drought or shall we say the paucity of 'greenery' would put the Sahara desert to shame!

SL's pace bowlers are a bigger threat than Mendis to India at the moment. To attack Mendis, they need to overcome their fast bowlers.

Dambulla should get a TEst match, very sporting wiucket ok

I am afraid the Colombo pitches will be flat and spinners come into play rather quickly

not a very good comeback but
indian players are reading mendis and it will help them in champions trophy where mendis can be dangerous even for south africa, newzeland and australia.
