Shola Ameobi has never fulfilled his potential at any of the clubs that have employed him. Ipswich need to stick with there existing strike force the historical problem has been the back 4 giving away soft goals.

Magic keep the faith we always score goals keeping clean sheets is the problem.

HAs to be Chris Killen from Celtic now in my opinion, 500k, a much cheaper option then Ameobi.

Chris Killen would definitely do a job for your club. He can't break into the Celtic team because we do have a few better strikers in his way but he does look sharp whenever he gets on the park.

This can only be good news for Ipswitch. Ameoobi has never impressed on a constant basis despite showing the odd promising performance but on a regular basis not consistent enough. This is proved by his appearances for Newcastle and Stoke.
Overall its bad news for Newcastle because there has been a couple of times where ameobi has looked like he's been on his way for a few million but then the deal never goes through.

I do not see the point in buying killen, we have Lee. We should bide our time and look round and also try getting a left mid too although trotters looking good there.

Sicknote Killen is as slow as a week in the jail . Plus if your medical teams worried about Ameobi's injury they'd have a heart attack if they see Killens injury record. Scores a few goals though.

Killen spent two or three seasons with us (Oldham). On his day he's not bad, he once had a spell of about 10 goals in 10 games, but if I were was Ipswich boss I really wouldn't bother. He's forever injured, has no pace and is lazy. I was amazed when Celtic signed him to be honest.

erm... why did he just play a full 90mins for Newcastle if he has a hamstring injury? Not that he was any good, but that's not the point...
