I wouldn't have thought Joaquin would be willing to go to Blackburn tbh. He's a very good player who deserves Uefa Cup football at the very least. I wonder what's gone wrong...

I agree, many of our fans baffle me with there constant moaning about who we're linked with by the TABLOIDS of all sources. Why exactly does it matter again?

The fact that Whackeen has been a total flop at Valencia was very predictable - he was massively overrated at Betis BUT ... remember when he played for Spain against England? - the guy absolutely crucified us. So, against crappy PL defenders he could be a major star for any team (Blackburn?) that takes the punt. As a 'Pool fan I'd like them to take a punt on Vicente who has had terrible injury problems the last 3 years but looked his old self last night in a cameo in the Super Cup and certainly light years ahead of overpriced dross like Barry.

A definite yes to Joaquin, he is very quick, skillful and a good crosser. Would be an excellent coup in my opinion. Not sure about Zigic, If we sold McCarthy for 9 mil to finance those two I think it would pay off. My only reservation is that Santa Cruz is tall as well it'll be interesting to see if two target men can play off each other effectively. Santa Cruz will stay, he quashed rumours immediatly by saying he was happy at blackburn. As for those who say why would such quality players want to join BLackburn is a stupid statement. Blackburn have consistently finished in the top 10 in one of the most competitive football leagues in the world. There are no untouchable players really so you would be joining a place in the side through effort. Not every quality footballer wants to be a bench warmer for big clubs for their career.
