I think he's inconsistent too, never really did the buisness against the big teams.

Motherwell can probably consider themselves a "big" team now so I don't see him having a great impact.

Having said that, he'll probably score against us.

I really feel that Sutton can be a good signing for 'Well, I didn't realise that he had scored as many as 30 goals from 66 starts at St Mirren!

Wycombe fan here, I'm sorry, so very, very sorry...

I always tried to stay on the poor guys side when the fans got his back but he really can't cut it at any level. Very slow and sluggish, your only hope is if you play with wingers that put in world class crosses.

Another Wycombe fan. I quite liked him but he never managed to impose himself on a defence. The problem was that when he was playing with Scot McGleish Scot scored the goals but when Paul Lambert brought Neil Lennon in and went ultra defensive in mid-field Sutton had nobody to feed off and was not strong enough to grab the ball and make his own chances. He is not very fast either, so was usually second best ?

Is your football that much slower?

I can see why Motherwell have signed Sutton and actually think it is a decent signing.

Porter playing up front with Clarkson has been having a hard time, especially against Hearts where when the ball was played long, Berra or Zaliukas would be all over him.

If Genghis sticks to his 4-3-3 formation, having the two big lads in Sutton and Porter up front will keep the centre's busy, creating the perfect foil for Clarkson to play off of them.

I think that this signing will open up the opportunity for Clarkson to bag more goals, will provide some strength in depth in the team and both Porter and Sutton will nip in with a few goals too.

Good, logical signing in my opinion.

I think this is a good signing. Basically look at his goalscoring record in scotland...if he can do that for us then i certainly wont be complaining.

Also Mcghee is good at getting the best out of players, take clarky for example, he had poor seasons prior to mcghees arrival, now hes an international and one of our best players!
