Valeri

Premier League Manchester City
comment on the article

Just wondering if anyone has heard news on the seriousness Valeri Bojinov's pre-match injury?? Couldn't wait to see my Football Manager favourite in action, but it looks like I'll have to wait patiently again!

Quality player. Good things will come to all who wait!

I genuine feel sorry for the guy, just imagine how much his been looking forward to today. Makes it all the more frustrating when you see other players happy to warm the bench, wasting their talent in exchange for £££.

That's darned bad luck. Genuinely feel for the guy.

But I would also like to comment on the lazy journalism of the BBC when, in the article, the 'journalist' inserts the throwaway comment "Hughes is likely to up his bid for Roque Santa Cruz" (or words to that effect). Rovers have made it public that RSC is NOT for sale, yet sloppy, lazy 'journalists' (in the loosest sense of the word) just cannot resist following the 'meeja' crowd and making up stories where they don't exist.

Totally unneccessary one-line paragraph to include in an article about horrendous misfortune to a player.

Get well soon Valeri.

Absolutely gutted for him. I've been wanting to see him play for quite a while now, after having heard good things.

Hopefully the recovery will be quicker than expected.

Very unfortunate incident. I did think they were going for it a bit heavy during thier warm up though. Eerily, my father in law did say he could see somebody getting injured the way they were going. It looked pretty heated for a warm up. Less than a minute later, he was being stretchered off.

i feel really sorry for this bloke. From what i gather he has great potential and it must be so frustrating having these injuries. By chance, does anybody know of his injury record before his tim ein man city? i.e is he another michael owen??

he didn't have any serious injuries before.maybe the problem is he got into big football when he was very young and not mature enough(he made his first appearance in italy when he was only 15)maybe the pressure then was too big for his body but the effects are suffered now.btw the situation with owen is similar.he was in the big game young and didn't have problems but now can't play two matches back to back
